I know what most of you might be thinking. "oh god not another baby names thread" but I think this one might be different. What is your favorite baby name and it can't be one that you named any of your children or child if you only have one!

Personally, I always like P names. Pierce, Piper, Paige and Patrick! I also like Gwenyth, Gabriel, Lucas, and Lucian.

For a boy I like Gideon and Augusten.

I just got the first chance to check this in the past couple days because things have been crazy with school starting back again!

Loureen: I saw the name Harper Lily and I kinda laughed because my daughter's name is Lily and My cousin just had a little girl that she named Harper! LOL but both are beautiful names.

I know the name is not common at all but if I ever have a little boy, I'm going to name him Sterling after my great grandfather (it's a family name, there have been several Sterlings but he is the one that pops in my head lol). I also want to name my son after my bf's dad who passed away when I was pregnant with my daughter and his name was Jack. So if I have a son, his name will be Sterling Jack as his middle names and I'm not sure about what the first name is.

I like names with good strong characters and meanings behind them especially for a Girl. Catherin, Cathlin and Caitlin (Truth) with very strong historical women who carried those names, Marc-Anthony (leader of men) Connor (leader of the pack). Henry (ruler of the Home) William (Strong Willed Warrior) also again very strong historical men. Not to fond of Alexander (defender of the people) or Micheal (who is like a god) and not Isobel (God is my oath) either. That makes for interesting conversation. Because even though a person may have a really lovely meaning to their name it doesn't mean they are necessarliy nice people. Sometimes a persons name can say more to another person than anything that person could possibly say. They name Mary, Maria and Fatima all scream to me of Latin Tradition... and not all of them a Saints.

I like V names - Victor, Victoria, Veronica, Vallarie (That was going to be Phillip's name if he was a girl.). His middle name was going to be Marissa and I like that name too. I do prefer names that are longer and can be shortened like mine: Jennifer, Jenny, Jenn.

*edited because I'm an idiot and starting to worry - I called him a her again! :O My fingers just fly too fast LOL!

Oh, and I also love the name Oliver for a boy, but it just doesn't sound right with our last name.

Ian is also a fave boy name of mine.

Boys: Henry, Finlay, Oscar (all vetoed by the husband - we just can't have a boy ever)

Girls: Obviously Freja is my favourite! Names I also like are Ivy and Eilidh (ay-ly).

But we will probably give the next kid a Scandinavian name. Maybe another one with the y-like j so people will start to figure it out. Like Bjorn. I'm pretty sure most people know how to pronounce that. So then maybe they will understand Freja's name.

No, he absolutely refuses... when we were discussing getting the puppy (there was a boy and a girl) he told me if we got the boy, I could name him Dexter... jerkass!

There's 2 other girls I know who are due around the same time as me who are considering Dexter if they have boys though... so now I don't wanna use the name anyways lol but I do absolutely adore it ♥

For girls, I really love Piper and Quinn, but have yet to persuade my husband.

For boys, I love the name James, but we'd be too worried about him getting "Jimmy" as a nickname, which we're not fond of.

I really like girl names that have boy nicknames. Charlotte=charlie, chuck. For instance. It's my thing lately.

Gilliana has always been a favorite of mine, but my hubby's half Russian and wanted names to go with than heritage - fine by me since I love all our daughters' names! :)

For a boy, I always liked the names Liam and Aiden, but, once again, hubby wanted Russian, so if we had a boy (and we're not having any more, so no boys for us!) his name would have been Nicholas Ivan - which I still love!

Ayla, for a girl! I have wanted to name my future daughter Ayla for at least the past 10 years- ever since I read the Earth's Children series, lol. Of course, I'm not hopeful I'll ever have a daughter since my husband's family seems to only produce Y chromosome sperm, lol.

I love Lola, Cherie, and Chelsea for a girl and Caleb for a boy. I'm not allowed to call either of my children those names apparently. My husband flat out refused to call our son Caleb.

I had a great aunt that was named Hazel! I never met her because she passed away a couple weeks before I was born. That almost became my middle name but it didn't go with Lacye. So I ended up with Dianna. :(

That's what I worry about whenever I have a girl.....I want it to stay Elizabeth. She or other people will call her something else :P She will always be Elizabeth to me though.........it's such a pretty name!
