It does look like there is smoke in it. So it appears that he is smoking not just "posing".

Posing a kid like that would be a completely bone-headed, idiotic move and would suggest that perhaps she needs some "help" to learn what is appropriate for a child and how to parent more maturely. And maybe some supervision to make sure that the aren't other problems/issues in the home.

But if she gave her kid a bong to smoke.... IMO that is abusive, cruel, and so deeply, obviously stupid. I am sure that it would be a criminal offense in some way, so she should be arrested & charged. Someone else who can actually understand the difference between right & wrong should be taking care of the child.

ugh - ok - even if the mouth piece isn't near the mouth, its in the air and the baby is breathing it.

The mother should be dragged up on drug charges (wanna bet she claims its cigarrette smoke?) and child endangerment.

Its a glass bong , it has smoke in it , if that babies mouth is on the mouth piece it IS inhaling bong smoke , glass bongs accumulate mocca or burnt residue / tar from the smoke around the mouth piece people often scrape this and re-smoke it due to it still having enough content to get people high again the babies mouth is on this , even standing close to a person who has smoked a bong and exhaled elsewhere can still make you ingest smoke , the baby obviously didnt smoke a lit bong because they have their finger in the cone piece which would be burning hot directly after smoking , im thinking 19 year old mother or whoever else was present smoked the bong handed it to the baby who was then pictured , doesnt change the fact that baby IS inhaling smoke from that bong ( yes i used to smoke a lot of bongs in my teen years thats why i know )

That is just so , so wrong , i cant believe she is trying to shrug it off !

Its no more illegal than the pics of babies holding beer cans.

I used to have bong/hookah thingy - no clue what it was back then but I had it.

These is one of the reasons I am against drug/alcohol use in houses with children. If you want to get your kicks do it away from your children when they have a responsible adult to care for them, otherwise you might get stupid ideas like "hey, lets take a picture with my baby holding a bong, that's so funny!" and not even thinking that there might still be pot smoke to inhale in it.

This makes me sick! I didn't look a the picture because I dont think I can handle it.

Does anybody remember the video tha floated around Myspace and facebook a few years ago with the young girls driving around in the car? All the girls were on Ecxtacy (?) and so was one of the girls 3-4 year old daughter!!! The girl was in the floorboard of the car with her eyes rolling in the back of her head.

Now, I've done Exctacy before and to see this literally made me puke. It made me so angry that somebody could be so GD STUPID! I can't even explain the feeling of rage that went through me when I saw that. Does anybody else remember seeing that?

I hate hate hate these stories. I used to volunteer in social work with the plan to make it a career. I can't do it. It's way too depressing. I really respect those that work in that area trying to make a difference.

Yeah, I get to the point where I can't even look at that stuff, because it depresses me. I see so many people who are barely intelligent enough to tie their shoes -- and it saddens me to see their sweet, innocent babies, because I know that those poor babies will really have an uphill battle in life, and will likely be raised to be just as dumb and shallow as their parents.

I have just become so sad. I put another post on PD&HT about parents getting kids drunk. One guy got a two year old drunk and the other his nine year old.

While I was trying to find the article about the two year old I found one about a guy who put his 5 month old in the oven. he did not turn it on. He said he was drunk and stoned. The mother heard her baby crying in the morning and found it in the oven.

After that one I stopped looking. WTF is wrong with people. Maybe people should have to take a test to become a parent.
