Can a bad husband be a good father?? That question could mean so many things... But let's hear your opinion. :)

No. If your husband is a bad husband he will teach your son to be a bad husband. And that's not being a good father.

Absolutely! I know a relationship that failed because he was juvenile and immature.....no wonder he was such a good father.....right down on the kids level! lmao

I've always said my husband was a shitty boyfriend, an awesome friend, a wonderful son and a fantastic father. He doesnt have a romantic bone in his body. But one doesnt need to be romantic with a child. I love him to death but he still has a lot to learn about what a woman needs. As a father he is the top. Thats why I married him.

Certainly, my ex is a great dad, he has our girls every thursday through to sunday. He loves them dearly and is a fantastic father to them.
He is an "ex" for a reason though. Shitty shitty husband material. 10 years of trying was enough for me.
He was controlling, verbally abusive and just a down right idiot when it came to be a loving supportive partner.
So yep, shitty husbands can still make excellent fathers. And as an aside. Just cause a man is a shitty husband to one women does not mean he will be a shitty husband to all women. Sometimes it's the combination of two people together that brings out the worst in some people.

Yes, just because a man is not husband material does not mean he will not be a good dad. As Cathy said it is all about the amount of effort he wishes to put in to each job.
