Did 'Botox Mom' Lie for Money?

Did you think reports of a mom injecting Botox in her 8-year-old daughter were unbelievable?

Turns out, you may be right. TMZ is reporting today that it has received a sworn statement made by Sheena Upton, claiming a British tabloid, The Sun, paid her $200 to pretend to be Kerry Campbell for the story "I Give My 8-Year-Old Daughter Botox" that ran in March.

"I was provided with the story, instructions and a script to follow for a recorded interview," TMZ quotes Upton as stating.

According to the website, Upton also says "Good Morning America" and "Inside Edition" approached her after The Sun's report, and says she was offered "a large fee" to tell her story on air.

"The truth is I have never given my daughter Botox, nor allowed her to get any type of waxing, nor is she a beauty pageant contestant," she says in the statement, according to TMZ.

After the 'GMA' story, officials from the San Francisco Human Services Agency reportedly removed the girl from her mother's custody, but according to TMZ she has been returned home after a medical exam showed the youngster never had Botox.

According to TMZ, an ABC News spokesman says the network is looking into the statement.

"We have just seen the sworn declaration on TMZ written by Sheena Upton, a.k.a. Kerry Campbell, and are vigorously investigating her most recent statement and rapidly shifting story," the site reports. " 'Good Morning America' has repeatedly questioned Upton, members of her family, and other sources who again and again stood by the Botox story."

I am very thankful that this story was fake. It literally made me sick to think of a mother doing this to her child, the physical aspect as well as the mind warping.
On the other hand, this gem of a lady will do anything for a buck, even as far as serving her child up to a tabloid.

Wow....I am glad the is a fake but it's another strong case for requiring a passing score on teh stupidity test prior to becoming a parent.

I'm not sure which is worse - injecting your daughter with Botox or dragging her on TV to lie to the world so you can collect $200. Close call.

LMAO @ I'mafuckedupbitch.com

Personally, I am struggling to sift the bullshit from the truth. I think there is more to come on this story, because I still don't believe this is the truth.

My question is: How did she learn of the "position"?
Does the Sun run ads like this:
Looking for mom with a pre-teen daughter willing to lie to the world and potentially lose custody of said daughter, pays crap. Apply to "I'mafuckedupbitch.com

I'm appalled by her actions. It still amazes me what people will do to use their children for money.

What a douche. Seriously why would you do this knowing full well that this kind of story would make you lose custody of your child. For $200? I don't really know what to believe here.

Why would you send your sworn affidavit to TMZ of all news organisations, a celebrity gossip one? And how believable is ANY of it, including the affidavit she apparently signed? I wonder how much she was paid for that?

Anyway, a total moron. I have no more respect for the woman now than I did when I thought she was injecting botox. The woman needs help.

I think this entire thing is BS and that the mother ought to have her sanity questioned! Teaching her daughter to lie like that for money!

Looks like The Sun in the UK is about as classy as The Sun in Toronto. Classy reporting, guys.
