Canadian Politics 101

For anyone interested in how our majority/minority government system actually works.
It's complicated and I heard once that more than 30% of MPs polled didn't understand how it truly works in all scenarios. lol
But there it is in a nutshell.. all potential possibilities and what that might mean for Canadians.
To me this election is more about how important Canadians consider our democratic system. If the Conservatives under Harper can be held in contempt of parliament and be re-elected, albeit even as a minority government then I will be dismayed that our citizens didn't feel that was justification enough to oust them from power.
Waiting impatiently for results.. I'm staying up to find out... I'm a nerd, I know.

I wish that the liberals and the ndp would join together and form a coalition if Harper gets in again...liar and a thief and a cheating bastard.

Your system sounds like ours. We don't currently have a majority government......and it sucks. Super complicated, because our PM relies on the votes of the independents to remain in power. But at the same time, they have to compromise their policies to keep those votes. Blah.....
