Its not a bribe - its payment. My job is to be a good mom. My husband job requires him to go out and work all day. My kids jobs are to behave. That encompasses EVERYTHING. Brushing teeth to cleaning their their rooms and not giving me hell at the stores.

So I am not bribing my children, they just get paid.

Phew!!  Now I feel better about that :)  I was worried there for a moment.......

Thay all need to be taken with a big pinch of salt in my opinion.

Ah, but they make for a good laugh :)  I'm not going to stop bribing my kids when necessary!!  I was bribed as a kid too, and the only time I've ever been in trouble with the law might be next week because I forgot to go and get my drivers licence renewed, and now its impossible until at least next week!!!  But I'll just bat my eyelashes and play the flustered mummy, and I'll be fine, LOL.  Should I bribe them too????? ;)

I give my son candy too, but I try not to bribe. I believe the study to some extent, but I think it's a stretch to say that bribed kids will end up behind bars. It's in the same league as the study showing that spanked kids have low IQ's. All these studies might have some truth to them, but they are open to interpretation. Thay all need to be taken with a big pinch of salt in my opinion.

They don't want us to do anything but give birth. They want the "State" to raise our kids. Becuase we're all incapable of raising good kids.

Are they for real? Are they just trying to get parents to stop giving kids candy. First it's bottles cause tooth issues at night. Now if you bribe your kid they'll turn into fellons.

Crappy.

They are Idiots if they did more studys on nesacery things instead of stupid things like that, there would be a Cure for Cancer by now.

I use M&M for potty training. Every time they pee or poop they get 5 M&M's and of course all three of them get the reward for the one getting potty training. LOL

I guess I should start referring to my kids college funds as their future bail out funds. The only way my 2 year old will sit still to get his haircut is if I supply him with lollipops and promise to give him M&M's afterward.

Oops, looks like I'll be seeing my kids behind bars - they get a special treat after dinner every night if they eat their very healthy dinners. Is that bribery? It works!!!

Is there anything we can do with our kids any more that won't turn them into raving, alcoholic, nymphomaniac, drug addict, out of work, lay-about criminals?
