Car seat safety question

Fierna is 3 months, she rides in a infant carrier type car seat. But if she's not asleep the whole ride she holds her head up! She sits there struggling to sit up and straining to keep her head up. As I drive and brake and speed up and turn her head is wobbling around all over because she won't lay it back! I'm worried that this is really dangerous for her neck, what if we get in a crash?
Does anyone know what I could do?

I have to agree with Tara there really is nothing you can do. She is curious and wants to see everything but in a crash she would just be pushed back into her carrier with her head supported by it. She is still very safe.

Nothing. Her neck muscles are developing strength right now. This kind of work out won't damage her neck at all, no more than wearing her in a sling when she is small and bending down etc. will damage her in any way.

Not only is this okay for her neck but is also good for her developing vestibular system, just as riding sling style is.

Now if you were a long haul trucker and were spending hours on the road every day, no I wouldn't recommend it, however for the trips you take, and the time between now and when she has full head control, I wouldn't worry at all. When her neck gets tired, she will lay back. Bodies know what to do for the most part, all by themselves.
