About 2 months ago, my husband gained custody of his two girls ages 13 and 9. The 13-yr old is extremely defiant and is not doing well in school at all. She is also boy crazy and is mimicking her mom's behavior: lying, manipulating, etc. She seems to ge worse after visits with her mom. My husband has taken away all of her electonics (iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc.). But she is still not engaging in school and yes, we have her in therapy. Any advice?

Thank you for responding. I know it is going to take time to get her back on track and I am estimating 1-2 yrs. unfortunately, her mother is a huge problem as she is not on the same page as my husband. Her mom seems to be bitter over losing the girls. I'm not sure if she misses her mom because she plays both parents against one another. One day, she hates mom, the next day she hates dad. Her mom alienated her from her dad for 3+ years.
