Someone from this forum asked me to join because of a post I had in a thread that they agreed with. They told me to check out this forum because it was a great bunch of ladies that even though they don't always agree they are still able to be friends. Who decides when the group doesn't "like" someone anymore. Cause when "the group" decides that.....they sure go out of their way to make life difficult for that person. What happened to the great bunch of ladies who can remain friends even when they disagree?

Ummm... I'm not sure what has prompted this thread Christa. As far as I'm aware you have never been blocked from DMs, or even had any posts deleted.

As a mod of this community and original member I can assure you nobody decides "when the group doesn't like someone anymore". We are all individuals. We debate individually with different opinions and perspectives. If we have conflict in this group it usually remains in the thread, and we all move on to the next topic. Yes, some of us have formed friendships, but we still disagree on the board occasionally. Nobody in the admin team has any problem with people voicing different opinions, and the only time we have taken any action to block members or delete posts have been when there has been a blatant breech of COMs guidelines.

I'm not sure what prompted this post either, but I assure you I don't intentionally isolate you, and I'm genuinely sorry if you feel that I am a person who has tried to make things difficult for you or have been rude to you. There are some things I happen to vehemently disagree with you on-but I think at some point I've disagreed with each woman in this forum. The fact that we disagree on things doesn't affect my opinion of you as a person-because I honestly don't know you very well. I'm truly sorry if you've felt this way. Even when we go after our points too tenaciously (and I think at some point we all do) I respect the ability and willingness of the women in this group both to give and to accept apologies and move along to something else. I thought I'd be booted for sure when the thread about America bashing was going on, but I apologized for the errors in my post and for pursing my point too much, and everyone was willing to accept that apology. Since then, I've been an avid participant in the community. I've never found a group of women (or men) who are so willing to discuss hot topics, accept one another's shortcomings, and have intellegent conversations. I'm extremely sorry if I've made you feel unwelcome, and I hope that you'll continue to post in the community. Even if I don't change my viewpoint, I always want to hear others' views so that I can better understand my position on a topic and think about things in new ways.

I must have missed something, because I am not sure what the issue is or what may have happened. If you would like to discuss the situation feel free to send me a private message as one of the moderators I would be happy to discuss things and find some resolution to whatever it is that happened.

I'm not sure what you are alluding to either Christa. I thought for example your recent thread re. universal health care was very constructive. If you have a specific issue and are not comfortable discussing it publicly, feel free to send me a PM. I don't have time to read each and every post on DM so I may have missed something.
