According to my doctor, yes.(my baby is now 6 months and has been eating table food for 3 weeks now) Do not give them too much because it can lead to more rashes and other things such as yeast infections. I don't buy gerber yogurt though i just use the ones for diabetics to cut back on sugar. Gerber has 12 grams of sugar per serving. Greek yogurt has 9 grams, Dannon light and fit only has 2 grams.

Don't think because gerber makes it it is better. I learned that when i bought their lil sausages ( you know the viena sausage things, i don't know how to spell it though lol) Gerber actually had more sodium and more fat for double the price.

I was surfing on web and saw this article about baby and yourt......................

Most pediatricians recommend starting your infant on Yogurt around 7-8 months of age. Some pediatricians also recommend yogurt as a great first food (from 6 months+). Selecting a Whole Milk Yogurt is the most beneficial to your infant as babies need fats in their diets for proper growth.
