Is it right to do this to your kids? Are you okay with posting what will most likely be your children's deepest shame in high school/college just to get a pro-anything message across?

pagan atheists...that makes sense...lol

if they believe in that stuff....why would it cause them shame?

I think the video is cute and funny. Nothing wrong with it, other than their dad's post going a bit over board but to each his own. I'm of the mind frame 'Don't knock me and I won't knock you'. Labeling it Pagan Athiests was wrong, though. If they did it for fun or as part of their chuch's youth group that's great. If they did it to call people out and point the finger, that's wrong. Live and let live. Amen. : )

LOL I think it is funny. We have so many different belief systems in our family from catholic to atheist to witches etc. I think it isn't shameful unless you make it so. The kids are having fun and unless it is made a big deal of it probably wont even be seen in another 5 or 10 yrs. Who really cares by then anyway?

I doubt this will be their deepest shame in life. It is the parents' that ought to be hanging their heads in shame. Can you say "brainwash"? Poor little kids ....

I don't really see it as shameful if the kids believe that. However, I don't post videos of my kids on You Tube, embarassing or not. I just don't think my kids need to be visible to the whole world. But, to each his/her own.

i wouldn't do this to my kids. i don't necessarily think it's wrong to post it on the internet, it's something that they believe in. i don't see the shame in it for THEM.
now i'm not keen on indoctrinating your children with YOUR beliefs, i'd rather mine chose their own way.

This actually reminds me of kids at Sunday School telling their parents any old band was a "Christian" band so they could listen to their music.

ROFLMAO. This is disturbingly ridiculous. You have Christian kids singing made up lyrics to a Black Eyed Peas song under the title Pagan Atheists. WTF.

Well I'll admit he would be handy to have around when you run out of cooking wine...

What Jesus co-cooks with me all the time - I blame him for the mistakes and burnt bits.

BAHAHAHAHAHA OMFG look what the guy (their dad?) said:

"These kids co-wrote these lyrics with Jesus"

Holy Fuck that's the greatest thing I've ever heard! I have nothing against Christians, but seriously, these people are kind of nuts.

Divine inspiration much?

Anywho, I think that if the kids themselves wanted to do this, then they have to accept any embarrassment that happens in the future because it's their own fault. But if their parents put them up to this (which is most likely) then they should be ashamed.

Edited a spelling mistake :P

Edited again to elaborate that the parents should be ashamed, not the kids lol. I'm on a roll tonight gah.

Did they post it purposefully with that title to get pagan and atheists to watch it? Or did someone else steal it?

I'll have to think on this more deeply after I finish cleaning up the beer I shot out my nose while watching it. That's redonkulous!!!

Okay...clean....now, while considering that I just decided against sending my daughter to a preschool that taught values that we do not hold so that she wouldn't be singled out, no, I would never do this. But then I simply do not understand the overwhelming desire of people to push promote their personal belief system publicly.

When I was in grade 6, my friends and I made a "Save the Salmon" video that my dad still has. He has teased me about posting it on YouTube. I am long past the days of high school humiliation, but he still respects me too much to publicly humiliate me in order to promote the same environment ideals I still hold today.

I do think he's really tempted to post my singing of the classic, "No Australians in this House" though. I wrote it myself when I was 5.
