Hi im breastfeeding my two month old daughter & I top up with aptamil milk. She was just fine breastfeeding until the day before when I had (a tsp of manuka honey 400 , drank barley water for the first time to increase my milk supply, and ate alot of dates) dont know which caused my baby to burst crying after each feeding ..she cries, screams from pain, moves from left to right in a jerky motion... This put me under great stress ... So I started pumping & dumping and offering her more formula bottles... Now it's been 34 hours since I & my daughter exposed to the allergan... How long does it take before food allergy flushes out of my body... Yesterday at five pm after 20 hours , I breastfed her and she cried a lot after... Help me pls I'm so sad this has happened ....I want to breastfeed her again

It might still be just bothering her and you are only really noticing the effects while she eats. After exposure to an allergen, reaction in the allergic person can last a loooong time. When I have sulfa drugs, I get hives for days after I stop taking them. When my daughter has dairy or bananas or tomatoes it takes 2-3 days for her eczema to improve.

If it's really only just while she's feeding, I'd imagine it's something else causing the problem as Little Miss said.

It should be out of your system by now. If you are offering the bottle more frequently, they typically have a faster flow. She may be getting frustrated that the flow on your breast is not as fast. Just give her some time, and maybe stop offering the bottle if you can for right now.
