today i woke to the sad news that a 37 year old man was missing in our local area, sad yes, im very sad for his family, but he is missing because he jumped over a safety guard at a local waterfall slipped on the wet rocks (yes its raining here and has been for 3 weeks) and fell down the cliff face and into the water at the bottom....
people are saying what a tragic accident??? really accident? really tragic? maybe not, it is sad yes indeed, but putting yourself in serious danger is hardly tragic or accidental when you meet the forseable fate of your own actions ? horrible mistake but tragic accident no...there has been many of these events lately, during serious floods recently a swift water rescue was called to help save 2 men who were riding a blow up ,mattress in a storm water drain, an elderly man drowned while crossing a flooded causeway, after getting out of his car and moving the baracde out of the way, a lady died after jumping off another local watefall after climbing over the sign stating, DANGER NEVER JUMP INTO WATERFALL, all totally avoidable incidents, yet on facebook there are pages of people talking of the tragic loss of these people, tragic is when a child dies of cancer, when a family member is killed by a drunk driver, what would be tragic is if my husband slipped down the cliff face today while there trying to recover the body, (yep he is really there) tragic would be if the swift water team were tied up fishing some idiots off their blow up bed while someone who was truly trapped drowned, people never seem to learn that their actions have very real and deep reaching consquenses, and take it for granted that someone will save their butts...
sorry for the rant but it is getting beyond a joke

Talk about stupid actions, I have a story here. My daughter, D moved in this apartment a few weeks ago. The first night, she heard this cat meow at the attic. She put the cat treats out , try to get the cat down to the kitchen, but the cat wouldn’t come down. It reminded her cat ,Sassy , She left the cat in my house. So that weekend, D came home and took sassy back to her apt. That evening, her high school classmate, C , visited D . They were playing computer games. 10 pm, this man knocked on the door. D opened the door. He ran in , grabbed Sassy and tried to run off. D was shocked. C clubbed that man’s head at the door, when he was leaving. Unfortunately, he ran off with Sassy. D called the police and told us next day. We were shocked and can’t understand why anyone would kidnap a common cat. A week went by, nothing happened. Suddenly, Sassy showed up at her front door. Sassy was meowing and run in D’s apt. It was a very, very pleasant surprise. D hugged and hugged Sassy. D brought Sassy home next day before Sassy got kidnapped again. A few days went by, everything is calm and quiet. The Cat in the attic acts out again. This time , that cat went between the walls and feel under the tub. Yesterday, the cat meowed and meowed. D worried that the cat may starve under there. So she asked our permission to open the dry wall and get the cat out. For 3 hours, D finally gets the cat out. You are not going to believe what the cat looks like. D sends us the photos of the cat. She looks just like Sassy but 3 sizes smaller.
Now everything makes sense now. That man kidnapped Sassy. He thought Sassy was this cat in the attic. He could ask D if Sassy is his cat. Instead, He breaks in and ran off with D’s cat. He winds up with a big bump on his head. Sassy will not stay with stranger. She eventually finds her way to escape and run home. All this can be avoided, if he just talk to D first.

Hi
Taking stupid actions is one of my daily fears. It doesn’t matter other people did it or I did it.
Every day we make many choices and take many actions. Some works out well, some don’t. Either way it causes anxiety. The older I get, the less anxiety I have. I just wait and handle it when it comes. It doesn’t matter how stupid the actions I might take. I figure the stupid actions I might take because…..
1. It is matter of opinion.---I like to order desert the same time with main meal. My daughter thinks it is stupid. O well, whatever.
2. Get attention--- my husband, M usually is quiet and feel somewhat left out. Then he will make a joke. It usually sounds stupid. O well, we know he is alive.
3. Not thinking it thru --- felling off the cliff probably a good example of that.
4. Mistake --- it sounds so logical at the time, but wrong…. I don’t know about you, I have hard time driving around down town. I was so sure that the store was on the right. Grrr I usually am wrong. It is on the left.
5. Misdirecting humors ---I have problems with this one. For example, some people like stick the feet out, when you walk by. So you would fall down. It could be dangerous. Avoid them.
6. Good intention, bad result. ---That’s me. You all know that I love my daughter. D. very much. The other day, she drove the car out of the restaurant parking lot. There is a pot hole. She drove 3-4 times back and forth trying to get out. I was afraid she was going to rack her new car. So, I raise my voice and tell M to drive the car out of the parking lot. O boy, that was a stupid action. D got so mad, she snap right back. She said that I need to trust her… not give her up so quickly.. she can do it…. I was speechless. I was wrong. I mean well but my action was stupid. Sorry.
7. Human ---Even the smartest people take stupid actions. So, I am allowed to make a few. Please! Please! No one get hurt because of me.
That’s all folks!
