I have had many different experiences on COM but none like today! I had a member tell me I was lucky i didn't live next door to her! Really?! She also stated she has an degree in computers and can easily find me.Again..Really?! So I ask is this what COM stands for. Do they allow these type of posts? How would you handel it? I had to laugh at the "you don't know who I am" comment... no,And I don't really care.So does COM allow their members to threaten violence when they read something they don't like?

I would disengage from the conversation and flag the post as a personal attack. Copy the post yourself, and the persons page (do that at the url bar while on their page) and make sure that it gets to the higher ups in CoM world

Oh, and block them. Go to their profile and under their picture should say "block this member" that way they cannot send you threatening PM's any longer.

If she sends you any threatening PM's, save them, and no matter how much you want to, don't respond.

No problem. Sorry that is happening. Some people love hiding behind a screen and going off on people. If you see that person in another thread, it would be in your best interest to walk away. It can be so hard to do sometimes, just avoid that person.

definately flag the post, it should then be deleted and the person would get a warning this is not acceptable and it if happens again they would be blocked from using this site and yeah don't delete any messages keep them for future reference if she continues to harrass you.

well im from glasgow in scotland which is known for its cheeky people. i have to say this, people who tell you they can fight or that they are known by others are known as blowhards. this means they cant fight to save themselves. lets face it the mafia and proper gangsters and stuff dont threaten folk, they just do what they will do and the next thing you know your dead.

i wouldnt worry about threats online, whats she gonna do caps lock you to death?.

ignore her, if she wanted to find your address anybody with any violent streak in them wouldnt alert you first they would be at your door with a weapon telling you who they are before they kill you. so she is clearly a mental case who gets off on threats online because she is on the other end of a screen. face to face would be totally different.

still it shouldnt be allowed and com should have dealt with this person promptly

in aus it is actually a crime and the police can trace her (they have people with computer degrees too) and as it is all there on record they can press chrages....my hubby has recently charged people like this and there has been big pushes to get highschool kids to realise it is an enforcable law..they can't hide behind a username

i have had these experiences to - just ignore it but if the problem does not go away take it to the people who have the website and see if there is a resolution. Every one has different parenting skills and strengths and weaknesses. My weakness is the kids

What the heck!? I'm really sorry this is happening to you. I have only been on here a little over 2 months and I have seen my share of reeeeeeally mean people. Some moms go as far as insulting children of the mothers they don't like. It makes my blood boil! I had a mom tell me my daughter was going to be a drug addict because I won't spank her. I reported the comment and contacted the admin of the community but have not even gotten a response. It has been about 2 weeks since the incident. I just avoid her in threads. Good luck!

I agree with others here. Click on the "Report" just below the "Reply," and then also copy the page and go to the bottom of the CoM page and click on "Contact Us" and send them the complaint that way as well. I have done both with particularly vile posts.

Some communities are not well attended by the Administrators or Monitors, so you have to contact the CoM folks directly

How sad what is she going to do... seriously travel to you and bash you over something you said on COM? And no you aren't allowed to threaten others with violence.

Some people have a hard time handling themselves appropriately when safe in the anonymity of the internet. 1st, ignore them. 2nd, flag their post and message the higher ups (even if it's just the admin), 3rd please don't think we're all like that! Sorry someone's being such a b**ch to you. :(

no CoM is not supposed to allow that sort of behavior. this place has a no thumps policy, or at least it's supposed to. what's already been said before me, that's exactly what to do and i really hope the bullshit ends for you.
