Did anyone else watch the new episode last night?

I adore Jamie Oliver, I think he is spot on about nutrition and he surely seems to want the best for everyone world wide.

Idk why so many American cities are so against him trying to help out the school lunch programs' it seems obvious to me that most areas school food could be improved upon.

What's your opinion of Jamie Oliver and what he's trying to do for America?

What he is doing is awsome , the food I saw being served in schools in the first season was vomit worthy , ugh , and parents and teachers were PISSED off because he was educating them of crap they were feeding their children AND themselves .

You know what they say " The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off "

"They just had Ronald McDonald at my girls school, talking about how healthy their burgers are."

Holy SHIT Iris!!! That's terrible! I think I would totally freak out at my school if they allowed that!!

I love what he's doing! The school lunch here is horrible and I'll be packing my kids lunch until it changes.
They just had Ronald McDonald at my girls school, talking about how healthy their burgers are. My older daughter came home rolling her eyes over that statement.

That's the problem with many American kids, as long as it looks good, they will eat it and forget what it is. Even now I struggle with eating meat because I feel I shouldn't, but when I smell it or taste it I just forget what it is and where it comes from and enjoy it. Kind of disturbs me that I can blank out on the things like that.

@ Jenn & Cathy ~ I KNOW! I was SURE the kids wouldn't eat it after they saw what was in it and how it was made. Shocked the hell outta me that they still put it in their mouths! Ew!

My five year old watched it with me a couple of days ago. First time for her watching TV and she jabbered on and ON about the commercials LOL.

I had to laugh when he yanked the baby out of her mother's arms and admitted he took her without asking. Hehe.

I agree with everything he says- the show is pretty flamboyant though, and I wonder how many takes they do for each scene. I've been on the set of Extreme Makeover, Home Edition and it's crazy how acted out it is- to the crying even.

The average American diet needs a serious makeover.

I didn't see the new episode but I love him and what he is doing. I'll never forget from last season when he ground up all the gross chicken bits and then made it look like a chicken nugget and the kids still ate it! *barf*

i think the publicity that he creates for his causes is wonderful, i also can't believe that schools and parents don;t want to hear what he has to say but happily feed their kids crap, but what upsets me most is how desperatly and how many people could really benifit from his ideas, watching the shows he has made some of the people (kids and parents alike) know so little about nutrition, where their food actually comes from and what is actually in processed stuff, and when given the oportunity to learn they want to bury their heads in the slop bucket and ignor it....i have a lot of respect for jamie, he could just sit there counting his money and not give a fig about anyone else. it's not like his kids have to eat the crap the public schools are feeding them

Jamie cares for everybody and is awesome, Frying stuff up for lunch is far easier than actually cooking anything healthy, what school wants to buy real food and pay staff to actually do a proper job of it? Seems like not many... Poor Jamie, his hearts in the right place- too bad, many others are covered in layers of saturated and trans-fats...:P

I'm totally on board with what he's trying to do. He's just trying to wake people up and make them realize that we're not doing our kids any favors by letting them eat pizza and chicken nuggets and french fries every day for lunch. And sadly, a lot of those kids go home and have fast food for dinner just about every night too.

I love the way he is so passionate about food and good eating. I applaud what he is trying to do.

While I like that he's trying to make school lunches more nutritious, I can't stand Jamie Oliver. Granted all I know of him is what I see on TV but I think he's full of himself.

Hmmm, might have to see if I can download it :) I enjoyed the first one. I'll be honest, I couldn't believe the crap in the school lunches in the last one. I was so glad I get to pack my kids lunches myself!!!

It's new, he's now trying to get into a different city, LA I think...... Forgot, but it is a big city now and they are denying him access to any schools. It was like the worst city in America when it comes to obesity in kids or something like that.

I think it's hilarious that they won't even let him into the schools. Jodi - It's new and he's in LA. The superintendent is a dick.

Can I just say that I nearly died laughing when he goes to the school nutrition conference and there is an actual seminar on KEEPING flavoured milks in schools. There were tears. I really didn't know these things went on. Study funded by the dairy people of course.
