Somehow... today I woke up angry. Like how shitty is that? How do you not even know how your day is going to be but just wake up mad anyway? I don't understand it and have done it a few times this week. Where on earth is this stemming from? Should I do some 'forgiveness' before I fall asleep, as something is carrying over to my next morning? What what what?

maybe it's hormonal. perhaps you are pregnant or maybe AF is on her way/just left. when it is close to my period, i can cry for no reason other than the sky is blue or something equally random like that. waking up mad is kind of random like that too. ;/

Get some gratitude rocks.....remember what you ARE thankful for. I know it sounds silly, but it works. Every morning wake up and name one thing you are grateful for.

I've been in a funk too.

my new theory is that being pregnant and not being able to drink as much coffee as you're used to has made you wake up mad! :p

Hormone fairy. That happens to me when my hormones are out of whack, I'm pregnant, I'm ovulating, I'm about 7 days before my period or my period is super late.

Or and this may be off....when I was severely iron and B12 deficient I'd get pissed off too easily. It never hurts to get a run down at the GP when you think something is off, just get some blood taken, check the hormones, to see if your pregnant or vitamin issues.

I've been extremely irritable for quite a while now. It comes in waves though which is better than being like that ALL the time. I can't help you, but I DO sympathize. I keep telling myself that 'tomorrow is another day', but really.... it's not....

It might be that you are dreaming and don't remember the dream and it made you angry.

Sometimes I wake up depressed for no apparent reason and I blame hormones because I have NOTHING to be depressed about.

lol I'd say if its been bothering you for that long, to try them. My mom was largely against anti-depressants so when I got almost suicidal depressed in highschool she didn't want me on the drugs which is the first thing they do. I had a professor in college who told me that it's okay to take them, she did, and sometimes it just brings the ground back up under your feet. Helps you breathe again. I'm not so anti-these type of drugs since she told me how they helped her and how she stopped taking them when she felt like it. But every once in a while she still took them. My aunt, same way. On and off them. My boyfriends mom, she just got on them about 2 years ago? She's almost a whole new person he says. Of course we all know it's better to change whatever is causing the problem but if you have 5 screaming kids running around, what ya gonna do? Sometimes we need a little something. I have talked to my boyfriend about it and told him to let me know if/when I get to the point of losing it because I'd rather be medicated than ever have my kids grow up with me angry bitter and depressed :( lol

If you want, I got on energy pills that really helped me and natural herbs that help with mood? I looked up the energy pill ingredients and most of them aren't quite energy, but natural energy-like things that help mood too. They send me for a loop - make me run laps. I never run. So the herbal guy I asked 'what can I take for depression naturally?' I think knew what he was talking about because he even got me energy pills that are geared towards enhancing mood. I'm still impressed by this. Let me know if you want the brands/lables lol

blah blah blah.. to clarify a bit more in my ramblings here...... he gave me a specific Mood Food for helping depression and then gave me energy pills. But even the energy pills are geared towards depression.

Well, I 'know' I need to get on anti-depressants or anti-anxiety meds or something.... Not sure if that will FIX anything or not, but I've put it off for years. I'm finally about 75% convinced that I have no choice.... which is better than being 100% opposed to taking them.

I would guess that a lot of your issue would be pregnancy hormones though. I suppose mine COULD be related to breastfeeding hormones, so maybe instead of taking meds right after my son is weaned I could wait a few more months to see if I regain any sanity..... Yep, I'm still trying to put it off. lol

I'm 6 months pregnant :) and have lots of reasons to stress, be angry and what not. I'm just surprised as I have never been so upset in my life upon waking up? Totally new and weird to me

I need something like coffee. I don't do well with caffiene. I don't smoke. I can't drink lol and I wouldn't want to right upon wakening..... hmmmm.. must find calming morning routine. :)

It may have nothing to do with forgiveness. Are you stressing over anything? Sometimes things in our lives that stress us out overlap into our sleep, into our dreams, and then in the morning we wake unhappy. This happens to me a lot because I am stressed a lot. The best advice I can give you is to tell you that if you wake in the morning feeling like you want to bite someone's head off, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, speak to anyone until you've had a chance to A) pee B) get something to drink and C) take some deep breaths. Doesn't always work though. My son is only 3 (and a half) and even he already knows that sometimes when Mommy wakes up, we don't provoke her until she's at least had her coffee......good luck!

I have a weird thing that I do when I have vivid nightmares. I sit up, I pray, I imagine a good solution to the nightmare, and then I turn around so my feet are where my head was and my head is where my feet were, and that usually lets me go right back to sleep. My husband gave me some strange looks when he first encountered some feet next to his face when he woke up, but I explained that there was a bad dream bothering that part of the bed, and my feet don't mind it as much as my head does! :) I think he patted me carefully on the head and ran away to make me coffee.

Rocks....... I love that idea..... hmm.... thanks :D

Thanks Elfieda :) I think there's always something we can stress about. Even if they are valid or not, so it's easy to get stressed. But I don't ever remember just waking up mad ever in my life before no matter how depressed or sad I was.

I know recently I had to Sage and put Rosemary around our room becuase I was sleeping like total crap. Having nightmares that were vividly horrifying. They went away with that, so I like the rock idea.... and well, of course, working on whatever it is making me mad lol

Did you have a bad dream? Sometimes I dream that my husband did something really terrible, and I wake up and am SO mad at him, but I know that rationally there is no reason for it, so I get really grumpy. :P

But since you have had it a few times in a row, take a look at your life recently, like Loureen suggested. Is there something you feel guilty or resentful about? Some sort of unresolved relationship conflict with family, friends, work? Maybe you're just not getting enough rest, and you need to get a sitter for a few hours and do something that relaxes you.
I really don't know, but those are my thoughts. Hope you feel better tomorrow!

You can't think of anything that has been weighing on your mind ?
Sometimes I think there can just be negative energy around , it is a full moon you know how that makes people crazy !

But definately never go to bed angry , always resolve things and think happy thoughts while you try to go to sleep.
