Mass Animal Deaths

Okay, let me get all the ridiculous explanations about the recent string of mass animal deaths straight. Fireworks went off in a bazillion towns around the world on New Year's Eve, including mine, but only drove the thousands of sleeping birds in small towns in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kentucky to fly nightblind into obstructions and break their necks. The kadrillion sleeping birds in every other town across the planet ... they're just deep sleepers?

And um, there were no fireworks going off in Sweden where the jackdraws were found dead, by the way. So much for that crappy theory! Oh and all those dead fish, also in Arkansas, most likely just died of some disease. Mmmhmm, I see. Just a fish-killing disease. Shrug. We don't eat much fish anyway. No big. Puh-lease!

Sounds like a major coverup to me. And the mass animal death stories keep coming in. What's really going on?

Today I woke up to more dead animal news: two million dead fish were just found in Maryland and 40,000 dead crabs found in England. And how are scientists (or should I say government agents posing as scientists?) explaining away these deaths? Oh it's "cold weather." Uh, doesn't cold weather come around every year? It's called winter, smartypantses.

Do they really think we're complete imbeciles or something? Obviously something big is going down, and no one's telling us the truth. Here are some very scary ideas I'm milling over right now.

8 Explanations for All the Mass Animal Deaths:

1. Government conspiracy: Well, obviously. No matter what's going on, they're totally covering it up, trying to ward off mass hysteria.
2. Aliens: It bears repeating. And these aliens are animal murderers! And invisible! And everywhere!
3. End of the world: Hello, here it comes!
4. Poltergeists: Theeeeey're here. Stay away from mirrors in the bathroom, closets where the lights come on, and clown dolls.
5. Zombies: They kill animals right before they start feasting on human flesh. We're all about to be living in the Thriller video.
6. Angry God: We've really pissed him off. Face it. He gives us brains and this beautiful place to live and thrive, and we produce the Real Housewives and Jersey Shore. What good are we?
7. Global death: Wake up, people! We're killing our planet. Deadly toxins in the air and in the water. Seriously, I think this might really be it.
8. Deadly combo: Maybe 6 + 7 + 1 = 3

What do you think they're hiding from us?

I personally like number 6 lol

I would prefer an asteroid or something. I think we need a good healthy kick in the ass from the universe to remind ourselves of our place and what is important. Massive amounts of animals are dying, likely casued by humans and we keep staying the course of making as much money as possbile by any means neccessary. We're fucked up.

oh and check out the video on you tube about HAARP in Iran and the BURNT fish that washed up on shore after several strange weather occurrences during a one week period. HAARP is real and alive and dangerous to everyone.
Again if you even just go to the HAARP site and read their own stuff, you will be worried about what they are doing to our environment and our ionosphere. If any of you know about Tesla technology than this will be very interesting to you..

Has anyone checked the stats for this type of thing in other years? It's probably more common than we think, but because of the 2 happenings in 1 area it made the news big time and now people are looking for similar stories. I could see the oil spill having some sort of ripple effect IF it had affected a specific species of animal that then fed another specific species of animal etc., etc. Also, with the weather in the area, certain air currents could have played a role.

YEAH! I heard about that! It's not just the honeybees anymore, now the bumbles are dying off. Poor bumbles. :(

I know our bats are dying off, the indiana bat, and now another type of bat in the northeast. Said the bees and bats are because of disease and loss of habitat.

So sad. I'm planting bumble friendly flowers everywhere this year. Don't think I can do anything for the bats though.

Ways everyone can help the bumbles! :D

Exactly - there used to be major die-offs within human populations but with modern immunization protocols in place, many of the diseases that killed us are no longer something we have to contend with. Yet. I think we'll start seeing more "super bugs" that will eradicate human populations in time. Just not yet. But it will happen.

It used to - it's called disease - diseases that we now immunize against. Black plague anyone?

"E.O. Wilson actually stated that this isn't unusual - die-offs like this do happen and typically in healthy species whose numbers are plentiful. Kind of nature's way of controlling populations."

If it was natural you'd think it would affect humans too.

and not only are we currently in the midst of the largest most vast extinction, it is also the fastest rate of extinction that has occurred since the dinosaurs died.

It isn't "going to happen", Katherine. We are currently in the midst of one of the biggest extinctions this planet has seen since the last big extinction.

I believe I started a thread a while back on mass extinction too. It's going to happen and soon. I just think it's our fault. If you were to make the religious argument, I would say God gave us free will and we abused it.

Well, I'm partial to the zombie theory myself.:) E.O. Wilson actually stated that this isn't unusual - die-offs like this do happen and typically in healthy species whose numbers are plentiful. Kind of nature's way of controlling populations. The problem with the media's coverage of these sudden die-offs is it takes the focus off a much more serious problem which is the fact that we are currently in the midst of a major extinction that actually portends far more trouble for our own species. God's "judgment" was an ancient way of saying "consequences" of bad actions. We're certainly guilty of some very poorly done stewardship.

HAARP is scary. It wouldn't surprise me in the LEAST if this was a government "oops."

[deleted account]

haarp is scary, they could have caused it, god knows what shit they do that they DONT tell us...

My answer if HAARP.
That is all...
Oh wait it's not all.
This is a worldwide occurrence.. check the following link for more information about more deaths, also check the number of earth quakes and Frakking going on around Guy Arkansas. HAARP is real, even the things they admit to doing (like shooting a high powered electromagnetic beams into our ionosphere.
Watch the following story.

Worth watching the whole interview.
HAARP is scary shit, I've been following since 95. It's not all it's presented to be. The patents that were purchased in order to run HAARP, include weather modification, deep earth topography etc. etc. watch the whole thing...

[deleted account]

emp.... birds have mercury in their brains, and fish, that would be a reason it would be species specific...

Well, if you're REALLY buying into the government conspiracy theory then I guess you can check this one off, but I have a close friend who is graduating with a 4 year degree this spring to be a DNR person. I havn't spoken indepth with her about this, but apparently this happens quite often, the only difference this time is that the media is captializing on it and so people are actually aware of it this time...and of course, the media does lend a small hand in exaggeration.

That being said, we don't have TV so I have seen no news reports and have only skimmed an article or two about it online, having grown up out in the hicks, I have seen years/seasons where it seems every animal and bird is dying and there can't be a fish left in the pond...so I don't buy all this conspiracy stuff, global warming effects or 2012 stuff.

Now, on to read the replies!

They are saying it has to do with 2012, but who really knows.

Well one thing I do know is WE are responsible for this. This is human caused.

Do we even have any idea how much that has fucked with our entire eco system? I'm serious... how much did that screw our planet? I have no idea but it's not the first spill but it was the biggest (If I am remembering correctly?).

Well I do notice a pattern here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&h...

Oh the 2012 thing. On the other thread, when we learned about the birds and fish in Arkansas. I was reading one of the links posted.

There was a comment on one of the articles that took me to this: (for the serious tin foil hat wearers, be warned... you may be alarmed. =P)

excellent! something like that could be perfect. electromagnetic, radio waves, something along those lines.

What about the crabs in the UK? something like 40,000 crabs washed ashore, dead.

I doubt it was the spill. There have actually been bigger spills. Though there were several spills in the US in 2010 besides deepwater.

I kind of liked the EMP theory, but that doesn't explain the exclusivity of species.

And why did it have to be red winged blackbirds? those are one of my favorites.

Anyone think it might have to do with that massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?

Pfft. I've got the zombie survival guide. lol

And RDR undead nightmare, which totally has me prepared for some zombie slaughter at the moment ;x

Actually I should probably stockpile ammunition and invest in a few machetes.

[deleted account]

yea man zombies that you knew as humans coming after you all ready to eat your face?? Its not that far outside the realm of possibility.Thats why it freaks me out so much, especially when scientists are always trying to come up with these bio-weapons and genetically mutated animals and vegetables. It could very well happen....scares the fuck out of me.

Its defiantly some level of HIGH Gov……

People are already panicking because 2012 is right around the corner, so if the truth did come out….I believe mass hysteria would occur , more people then we know are happy in their little bubble of a world.
It’s not the 1950s we are more aware and don’t just take the answer the give and say OK….UGH

[deleted account]

which is not"the end of the world" just the end as WE know it.....ugg im scared of zombies, that would suck if that happened
