So a 17 year old can have a baby and decide to keep it, and make decisions on behalf of ANOTHER human being, but isn't mature enough to decide to have a boob job? Yeah, let's make boob jobs illegal for 17 year olds.

Not that I AGREE with people having boob jobs at that age, necessarily, but illegal until 25?

I had my breasts reduced at age 17. If I'd had to wait much longer, the weight of my breasts would have continued to distort the curvature of my spine, and I would have developed a lovely little dowager's hump as a result.

I don't think it's necessarily wise for girls that age to get breast enhancements, or any other surgery that is purely cosmetic. However, at that age, the decision should be between her and her parents -- not the state.

If she wants to look like Barbie she really missed the mark with her crayola crayon drawn on eyebrows and orange and pink crayon-tastic make up, lumpy boobs and bad complexion. 500,00 pounds on what? She looks like a tranny and looks like her bra is stuffed, not implanted. If she spent that much money it looks like she would have had laser resurfacing for her shoddy skin and her nose looks very naturally imperfect, not one you have after rhinoplasty. I vote that this story is total BS....again. At least I hope so for goodness sakes!

I will be the first person to admit that I have a negative opinion about my body but I make it a point NEVER to say anything about around my daughter. Instead of giving her a voucher for surgery she should be making her an appointment for counseling and maybe one for herself. It's proven that daughters pick up their ideas about self-image and self-worth from their mothers. It's a little sick and sad that a seven year old would feel that bad about her body that she's already looking to change it. She is setting a bad example and opening the door to all kinds of future problems.

I do have to say she had her surgeries originally because she was attacked and very badly beaten, she needed the first surgeries to reconstruct her face. My issue is simply she shouldn't be pushing her now addiction to surgery on her daughter. If anyone is in any doubt about the reality of Sarah Burge just google her :)

Yeah. Fortunately, Jessica, peoples' private medical decisions are not UP to you. They are between themselves and their doctor, with parental involvement if the patient is a minor.

17 year olds shouldn't have babies either! are you serious? If it were up to me women wouldn't get periods at 9, 10, 11 years old.. they'd get them in their 20's!

edit: I am talking about plstic surgery.. not medically necessary reconstructive surgery. obviously if someone has half of their face ripped off in a car accident at 15 they should have the procedure. but do I think 17 year olds should get a nose job to be cuter? no.

" I don't think there would be anything controversial worth discussing about a 17 year old having a boob job. "

@Cathy S.: exactly what world do you live in where it would beokay for a 17 year old to get any plastic surgery??? I think a decision like that should be illegal until 25. When you are mature enough to decide if you want to change. not at 7 or 17.

this is awesome......NOT! i had a friend who NEEDED A REDUCTION by 4th or 5th grade and her parents weren't able to even afford it until 7th grade and at 22 yrs old she needs another. why do parents feel their children need something like that at such a young age? that's just wrong.

Very true, Cathy!

I really wonder if she would have been this insane or if being beaten as a young woman to the point of needing reconstructive surgery aided her in reaching this point.

I kind of feel bad that she's this mentally screwed up and it's affecting her kids. She really needs some mental help. :(

It's true this child may never get the operation, she may decide it's not for her. How emotionally damaged will she be by the time she gets to 16, living in this kind of enviroment.

I imagine it's more of a gesture at this point. Who knows what this girl will want at the age of 16.

Btw, I did a Google search on this lady. Her story is interesting but, I was disgusted to find out that she gives her other daughter Botox injections at the age of 16. *shiver*

LOL Emma, my boobs grew more in my 30s. Seriously, when I was 38, they started growing again and I went from a B cup to a D cup.

I agree I'd wait until she actually stopped growing. I didn't stop growing boobs until at least 20.

Ok As you can tell Ididn't read the article. Time for me to go back to sleep still have this damn migraine.

16 is still too young and besides she hasn't developed anything yet. She may end up being very top heavy. You can't predict that it is stupid though no mare how you look at it.

What is wrong with people? A boob job at 7? Really? Last time I checked girls weren't even developing boobs at this age. Even more than just the mother being a abusive ass. What kind of doctor would perform a surgery like this?

I wouldn't even let my 16 year old get a boob job. This is outrageous. She is a fucking idiot and if she thinks that pink lipstick is hot she has another think coming.

That's very sad.Natural beauty is becoming a thing of the past.We as parents need to raise our children not based on our dreams and goals but on there's.I teach my kids there wonderful and perfect they way the are.I love them how they are.Not how i wish they would be.

Which is what it seems this mom is doing.

I don't want mini mes.I want them to be happy, confident and own who they are. There perfect to me now and will always be.

A boob job at 7 and being super excited over it.My six year old has no idea you can even get a boob job etc.Just goes to show how different kids are raised by there parents esp mothers.

Argh! Seen it on T.V. Poor little girl's been brainwashed. But then, I don't get beauty comps either - little girls looking like tarts? No way. My little girl turned 5 last week and I bought her some nail polish so she can do her toes like mummy, never would I take her for a spray tan or fake lashes. Sad, sad, sad.

Publicity stunt. A woman who wants to be recognized as a real life barbie doll is obviously fame-hungry.

The fact that mum gave her the voucher to have it done when she is 16 is bad enough. I mean, that's just silly. BUT what saddens me is the fact that a 7 year old is already THAT schooled that it was on her list of things she wanted for her birthday. I find this the most distubing fact. My daughter turns 7 on her next birthday (okay nearly a year away, but still). Chances are she will want a Barbie or a Rapunzal (her favourite princess of the moment), or a pretty dress. But boobs? Um, no, it shouldn't even cross the mind of a 7 year old.

These are the kind of responses that lead people to think they're not good enough so they get "work" done. You can't complain until you realize that you're part of the problem.

I mean no disrespect pointing that out but, it's something everyone should think about.

Sick! That is just beyond disturbing to me.
On a side note, would a doctor actually do breast implants on a teenager? It seems pretty irresponsible to me, to give them implants when their bodies are still growing and maturing!

Hopefully by the time the girl is 16 she will have realized that maybe having big boobs isnt what she wants, or maybe shell naturally have big boobs by then. Id love to have mine reduced, but i couldnt do it, surgery scares the heck outa me. Plastic surgery is not evil, it is right for some people, if you want to change something, and you can, do it. But at 7 you should be having fun and being a kid, not thinking of how big you want your boobs to be when youre older. I wish her the best

I understand that she isn't getting the boob job at seven, if she was the mother should be in jail!
This woman is very real, she has been on a few documentaries over the last few years, she is famous in britain for the amount of cosmetic surgery she has had. She has also taken part in at least one documentary I have seen with her child.
