I asked a similar question in Young Moms but didn't get too many responses and I am still curious.

What cause would you be willing to pose naked for?
Do you think your partner/friends/family would support you in doing it?

What cause would be silly/stupid to pose in the buff for?

I did life drawing classes as a model when I was younger. I don't have a problem being completely nude for that, there are no pictures taken, just drawings and they are all so different. This is actually a wonderful exercise to demonstrate how differently people see your body.

I'm an actor and made a good bulk of my living the last three years off a commercial that featured me in my bra and just pantyhose (this was pre-baby). So, I have no problem with that.

I guess I'd have to be paid a shit load to show my muff on film. I'd have no problem just being paid well for anyone who would actually want to see me topless now on film. I honestly doubt they would though. So, basically, for me, I'm a whore for money, just a high price whore.

Are you asking me, Rebecca?
No, for me it probably wouldn't make a difference. It was late, so I didn't answer very completely. I wouldn't pose nude for any cause because I'm pretty modest and private about things like that. I do believe that certain parts of me are only for my husband to see.
And, since I'm not proud of my body, he's the only one who I'm not embarassed to show them to either, because he thinks they're beautiful anyways. I'm pretty sure no one else would.
Oh, and I'm talking about my flabby gut mostly. I don't have nasty lady parts or anything, lol! :P

I wouldn't for anything. I have no problems with other people doing it it's just not something I'd do. Now if it's something like med students being in the room when I give birth I will and have done that. But pictures for all the world to see. Nope.

Definately for something like the Dove self esteem ads, and it would have to be more artistic than porn like, i wouldn't want my tatas, crack or vajayjay showing :)

If you loved your body would the whole, "only for my husband" thing kinda recede in the background?

Wouldn't do it for any cause or amount of money, far to many wobbly bits.
Has anyone seen Calendar Girls? Is it more acceptable to see young people naked and posing for charity than it is to see older people or does it not matter as long as it raises money?

I wouldn't pose naked for anything or anyone but my husband. I hate my body.

I would not be comfortable posing naked. For some reason, I'm just not a naked person. I don't like a breeze down there. Maybe it's because I'm Canadian and it's cold. Perhaps I'd do it if I lived in Jamaica.....

My husband would have no problem with it at all. He'd get a kick out of it really. But then, he's a naked person. He doesn't have hang-ups in that department. He definitely has no ownership issues about my body.

My friends and family would be surprised, since it's not really my style, but I can not imagine anyone not being supportive. I'm not sure if I would want to listen to my uncle's teasing though, they're merciless :-)

I don't think that there's any stupid/silly cause to pose for, heck, it could just be for kicks. As I said, I wouldn't do it, but not because the cause is wrong or my family would be upset. I just like my clothes.

I see a few people say, "for the whole world", but what if it was a small calendar sold locally or in select locations?

My partner would be totally supportive if it was tasteful and o would my family in fact my mother was a life drawing model .
There is nothing more beautiful than the naked human body and it weilds a lot of power so I would definately use it in aid of a cause close to my heart like sea sheppard or womens rights or even just for life drawing / photography .

And I have to agree Joanna there is no loss of being special with my partner , our relationship goes beyond "owning" my body .

I would never ever do that. My hsuband would kill me. I see it as your body is only your husband to look at so why would you show something to that is only for you and your husband to see for the whole world? It wouldnt be special anymore then..

Heck, I'm already naked on the internet just for fun (used to do nude/fetish modeling). I might not do it anymore now that I've had 3 children (I did the modeling between my first and second kids, when I was 19-22), unless it's for a really good cause, or a whole lot of money! I'm still comfortable in my skin, but doubt anyone wants to see me naked!

LOL I'm a firm believer in comfort. What ya see is what ya get! If my boobs got any perkier they'd be pointed at my face, lmao! this is a side benefit of the IBTC!

If it were one of my causes and it raised a significant amount of money I'd pose naked.

I would NOT do it for $10 an hour. for money for me? It would have to be around $200 an hour and I'd have to have some props or something. Not just standing in place for for an hour and the room would have to be WARM.

Has anyone watched that show "How to look good Naked"? I've only seen it once or twice but it was so tastefully done and the women came away feeling AWESOME about themselves.

As I have proved in many of my posts, I am not a prude...but I think advertising with nudity is what causes many self confidence issues in young women.

Nope....not even at my most beautiful size would I pose nude. I think there are plenty of ways to show support, and I don't think being nude is going to prove a point any more than donating, or protesting. It may draw more attention...but not neccessarily good, or bad. Just someone wanting to see a naked body.

I love the Dove commercials for self esteem. they have a huge campaign to improve self image for ALL AGES. I'd do it for that. they aren't totally nude but they may have bubbles or a blanket across them. some were completely naked and I thought they were all beautiful.
