It is a fact that some moms sometimes experience orgasms while breastfeeding.......how-ever , some moms who have NOT had this experience seem to not so readily comprehend this.

........Moms, what are YOUR opinions on this matter?

You have completely lost me Laura. Are you taking posts from another community and posting them in here? Could you possibly clearly state what you are thinking? Is this even a debate topic for you? What is the point of this thread please? Where are the links you find so important for us to read? This thread is not progressing one bit.

I am locking this thread for further review because it does seem that you are taking posts from another community and posting them in here.

I don't know a single person that thinks orgasms are from the devil. I've never had one while breastfeeding, but I most likely wouldn't have been a breastfeeding mom if I had. It may very well be 'natural' for some, but it would creep me out beyond belief. Sex 'stuff' and my kids do NOT mix.

ADMIN. NOTE : Several respondents seem not to be checking out....the statements on this subject by Dr. Walsh,on www.momlogic.com..........or Susan Susan Condon on www.babycenter.com................and statements by Ashleigh Willoughby in the post: ...'orgasms during breastfeeding'....it is important to arrive at the real meanings when dealing with terms,definitions.........in much of the research on this, the researchers are saying that orgasms ( try substituting the words "good feelings")can be the result of stimuli OTHER than sex or masturbation, for instance, a classic symphony...

..so these ( good feelings do not have to come exclusively from sex )..certainly if feelings do happen in some while bf,it has NOTHING TO DO WHAT-SO-EVER WITH SEXUAL FEELINGS OR THOUGHTS...so we can understand that good feelings do NOT have to be mixed up with sex.... according to these researchers.....( I have never personally experienced this' type' of 'orgasm'...but just have studied some of the research.which I think is a good idea for all........I think, for those who are not seeing the research first, well, maybe we are just having conclusions that are coming from one's own personal or subjective DEFINITIONS ...perhaps based on concepts generated from flawed information or perspectives.

...But in any case moms who have not experienced said feelings, certainly do not have to be so invested ,and the one's that the researchers have told us that have experienced ,( what ever name or connotation one wishes to place on said experience ),for the most part ,are not talking,( because of social stigma )...so once more..just because it hasn't happened to us ,does not mean that it hasn't happened to others

.Now as you may see on the OTHER post: 'Orgasms during Breastfeeding'...some moms, according to that Admin. ,really became extremely mean and argumentative,so much that it had to be closed for replies. I am sure that we can all agree that there is No real necessity for such negative clamor among mature adults.

I agree with Sherri... Sorry but if you have an orgasm while breastfeeding, I think it is time to put it away. I don't care if it is natural, since I simply do not think it is.

Orgasm is totally sexual. The last thing most Mom's are thinking is how GOOD it feels, in a sexual way.

If I orgasmed while breastfeeding honestly I wouldn't breastfeed. The two in my opinion do not belong together in the same sentence. One is sexual, while the other is simply nourishment for your baby.

I've heard of this happening before and would have thought that it's completely natural, I don't see how it could be improper unless, as Jodi said, you've got your hands down your pants. I had an orgasm while birthing my first childs placenta, something I wish I couldn't remember!

I am of the mind it is a completley chemical reaction having to do with the release of chemicals when certain things happen to the body. I don't think the "mind" has anything to do with it at all so I'd say the feeding is triggering this chemical.

Mixing sexual feelings while having your child attached to your breast is not something most would feel comfortable with. It may happen and be natural, but would deter me also.

I am sure it would make me very uncomfortable if it ever happened to me! And I wouldn't be expecting other moms to have any feelings about it, because I sure wouldn't be broadcasting it! :) If it happened every time though, I probably would wean early too!

Its never happened to me and I must assume its rare. I don't know what I would do if that happened. It would definitely be creepy. I'm breastfeeding while typing now and I honestly just can't imagine how such a thing occurs.

I probably would not continue BFing either. Even though it may be a natural response to the body. When I was bfing my kids, my husband was not allowed to touch my boobs. It made me very uncomfortable.

If it happened to me while i was feeding I probably wouldn't want to feed anymore. I've heard about this before too and if it's happening without masturbating or thinking impure thoughts then it's probably a natural response to stimulus. Just like going into labour from nipple stimulation.

Oh yea, it'd creep me out and I probably wouldn't feed very long either. lol

it might be natural for our bodies but I have to admit it would creep me out beyond belief. Thankfully I've never had it happen.

Very understandable,...i think that it that when this occurs with some....that it is just a body response, and has nothing to do with the thinking process!...............so in my opinion, anyone who disparages this occurrence is very ignorant indeed...

no.,,i know that it is natural.......but i have heard a couple of moms in a SO CALLED " Christian " SECT,discussing bf, with the opinion " That, and all orgasms are "caused by the devil".... these moms ?,very nutty and sick and ignorant thinking!

Why do you ask by the way? How is another mother suppose to have feelings about someone totally different having an orgasm? Are you personally having this issue?

There are such things as forced orgasms, women have been known to orgasm while being molested or raped. As a breastfeeding mother, I can only imagine what a loop that would send you for, but we can't always control what our bodies do. As long as you're not trying to make it happen (you know, hands down your pants) then it just happens naturally.

Never had it happen to me. Not sure what I think about it. I suppose if it happens, then it really isn't much they can do about it... IDK. I relate orgasms to having your mind in a certain spot, so maybe they have an issue with placing their boobs being sucked to a sexual feeling?

I know for me, the last thing I had in my mind is that it felt good. IDK. I guess, I can't comprehend since it does seem foreign to me. :o/

[deleted account]

My feelings on the phenomena? It happens I would imagine it is quite disturbing as a mother trying to feed her child to orgasm from it, I know it'd make me feel uneasy but it's totally normal so I don't see anything wrong with it.

There are women who have orgasms during labour too (lucky b*%^#es! lol). If it weren't natural, it wouldn't happen IMO. By the way, I have not experienced this, but I do a lot of reading, so I've heard of it happening. lol
