Would you consider paying someone to coach you in your parenting efforts? Sort-off like your own private Supernanny? Apparently more and more people are hiring parenting coaches and some large companies even offer these types of services to their employees. My own company has hired a child psychologist (she has multiple other degrees too, all in the field of children) to conduct bi-weekly two hour lunch sessions that anyone can go to (you can come & go as you please) and where you can discuss your parenting issues with her and with other parents. I have to say that as a first time parent I have found these lunches invaluable. I never miss one. However, these lunches are free. I don't know if I would go so far as to pay someone $75 an hour to get their advise, especially if they are not licensed professionals (I have enough mommy friends to coach me, I would want it to at least be a psychologist). But maybe if I had more money to spare I would. I am also a HUUUUGE fan of Jo Frost but I would never want to go on TV. What do you think? Would you ever consider hiring a coach?

I would consider it if there was a specific issue that I just wasn't able to fix, and was at my wits' end.

The free sessions, though? Yeah, I'd be all over that.
