"It's real in the sense that it says, 'Guys, you have to understand that you can't party on like it's 2007. If you're going to take taxpayer dollars, then the game has to change. In that sense it's real.' " -Elizabeth Warren

I think those executives should be in jail for stealing from the American people. Maybe the theivery will at least be curbed soon.

I personally think they should be put in federal prison, not given any opportunity to continue with their current company or any other company!

I'm glad the administration is making some effort at capping them for now though...I guess that is better than nothing, though they should have gotten nothing. (bailout I mean)

I agree...put them all in jail, and then keep the pay restrictions for one, I don't care what their talent is, deserves a 4+million dollar bonus for anything...let alone for massive failure (or worse, theft)!

I worked for a company back in the 90's that the year before they went belly up. The executives did a week long trip to some resort. I can't remember how much it cost but I do remember it was over a thousand a day. They said it was to figure out how to get the company to work better. Yeah right. A lot of us "grunts" were pissed off about that.

I could not agree more. They should be prosecuted for what they did (I know it's probably impossible) and certainly not rewarded any further.

The reason they always give for why these people still have their jobs is that they created such a complicated mess that they are the only ones who can unravel it all. So what happens if one of them has a heart attack & dies? The world will come to an end? Doubt it. I say let's pretend they've all had a heart attack and move on.

Those executives should not have their jobs!

I don't understand the logic behind giving people who sunk a company money to help it?

They weren't responsible in the first place what makes anyone think they will be the 2nd go around with money that isn't theirs?
