Pole Dancing for Jesus?!?

How does changing the music make it acceptable in a church society? Why not just go to a regular class? The only thing different is the music..you're still grinding on a pole. I want to buy a pole for my room to excercise on but when I was telling this to some christian friends they just couldn't believe I'd "degrade" myself that way. So if I dance to praise music it's acceptable?? Thoughts?

All I can say is I cracked up when I heard about this on CNN this morning. More power to the church ladies!

I think it makes sense to have it as a church group. She connects best for other christian women, and loves pole dancing so she started a group to do just that. It does seem like a bit of a silly concept but I bet the women have fun doing it, and many of the women who attend that class wouldn't feel comfortable in a regular pole dancing class

ba ha ha ha ha ha. those shoes are hideous!! pole dancing would be awesome for fitness but seriously... jesus music? is the jesus music supposed to justify it and somehow it's not the same as normal secular music?

It doesn't...If you are going to use it for excercise then do so and you enjoy it then great but don't butter it up to be something it isn't even as an excercise it has very sexual moves and it does not have place in a church. Stop dressing it up to be something it isn't, After all a pole is still a pole even if you dress it up with ribbons and flowers.

I think the woman is sincere and genuine, and she has a right to teacher her skill to others. I think there is a difference between pole dancing for stripping/exotic dancing employment versus pole dancing for personal/home exercise. Just becasue they play Christian music doesn;t change the act of the exercise routine. Cute stripper shoes ;-)

I say just go to a regular class, it makes it no better if you add Jesus name to it, WOW…that’s funny, they think it makes it better.

And there is nothing wrong with it to begin with
