My six year old daughter has been having more and more meltdowns over seemingly silly things, and it has gotten to the point where it is so varied and so frequent that it is exasperating and I am wondering if something is wrong. She has fits everysingle morning when getting dressed over what to wear. She wants to wear stretch pants every single day. She has a few outfits that she insists on wearing over and over again. To try to get her to wear something else causes a complete tantrum with screaming and crying, and no solutions that she is happy with. We will discuss a pair of pants for 10 minutes, then I will suggest a different pair and then she will then want the first pair of pants that we argued about for ten minutes! She also hates having her hair brushed. Even when there are no tangles, she acts like I am killing her. She fusses about going to bed every single night, like she is terrified though we try to have the same routine, a nightlight, etc. But every single night is the same exact battle. She fusses over where she will sit at the dinner table. Every night it changes. She wants everyone to move so that she can sit in a particular seat, but it is different every single night. She wants everything as tight as possible. Her pants have to be super tight, her shirt has to be super tight. But she hates shoes that are the slightest bit tight. She hates socks when the crease is not just right. She loves to wear big boots. She doesn't want her pants even slightly longer than her ankles, her sleeves cant be longer than her wrists...do any of these symptoms seem familiar to anyone and what can I do to help her?

My daughter doesn't have SPD, but she does have sensory issues. Where are you located? She needs to be evaluated by an occupational therapist. Also, get the book "Out of Sync Child". That book is great in explaining sensory issues and how it can affect a child
