So is it just me or is this just wrong?

so my husband found this on youtube , I'm not a fan of pacifiers myself however, in this instance that is the least of my worries. i am currently still trying to get rid of the after-images of what looks to be a middle aged gummi bear modeled after your average creepy middle-aged convention goer (the kind that creeps all the girls out and cos-plays as sailor moon). the worst bit, is the gummi bear buttocks shots. i am currently having a strong gut reaction to set my brain on fire after that. and this to promote a pacifier brand, the horror.

Sounds like they are encouraging children to suck on a pacifier all the day long. This gets in the way of eating, talking and self-comforting.
I find the commercial to be hilarious and catchy, unfortunately the message is wrong.

Oh dear. I'm confused. Why do kids need a dummy when they're just playing. I'm not against it going to bed for comfort helping them go to sleep but if they're amused when they're awake why do they need one?!

`My girls well my first never had a dummy as we call them in ireland and my second needed one after i stopped b/f her after a few days, she stopped wanting it at about 5mths old..anyway they love the gummy bear songs and so do i lol..there so catchy and my girls dance around like crazy, and shake there bums.

agreed jane!! i can't get the song out of my head now, lol!!

i guess i'm not having any horrifying reaction to it. i think it's stupid to advertise pacifiers like this, i'm not a fan of them after age 1 so it wouldn't appeal to me in the least to see this advertisement. however it doesn't want to make me take my eyeballs out or anything. i thought the bear buttocks were kinda cute....;)

I don't think it makes for very good advertisement. I mean what parent wants to a buy a pacifier that their child will never want to give up ?

My 11 month old has a dummy and to some people's horror, I have no intention of taking it away. She has it in bed and in the car and at this age I think its just cruel to take it away. She is too young to understand and I want her to make the decision to give it up !

This advert just shines a bad light on dummies, when they can serve a very good purpose !

Is it wrong that I'm laughing?

The dude's a little creepy. And aside from the butt cheeks wiggling around, I found the dance hysterical. Though, the amusement could be exhaustion setting in.

I had to look up the lyrics to it b/c where it says Grandma Nuki, it sounded like Grab my Nuki.. That did creep me out a little.

STRANGE!!!!!!!!! If there goal is to promote a brand they did a horrible job. I'm actually turned me off the product now (if my baby still used them). It so did sound like nookie at first.

That was a bit disturbing really - it reminded me of some foreign
clubbing anthem that makes it over for the summer and gets stuck in your head.

How freaking weird!!!!
The whole way through it sounded to me like he was saying "nookie" too! So the bit with Grandma Nookie freaked me out!!

Yeah, not a fan.
