Shockingly...I'm going to go the other way on this one. I actually wonder exactly what the olympics mean when everybody competing has recently moved to the country they are competing for. This doesn't mean I don't believe that immigrants qualify as citizens...surely they do, but...perhaps the article was just misworded. It should've read "an American Born comptetitor" instead of "an American"

When I read this I thought about all the citizens who were not born in the US who join the military and risk thier lives for this nation. I thought about all the lives of lost of those men and women who had yet to become citizens but were serving in our military and I thought do their lives matter less because according to this dick they are either just "techinically american" or not american at all. How disrespectful.

Unbelievable. What an offensive prick. You're either an American or you're not. He's a citizen so he's American. I don't care if he got his citizenship the morning of the marathon.
