Arggggg......
My mom is visiting, I see her once a week normally for about 15 minutes, I love my mom to death but after about 12 hours, I'm done.
She's been here for 24 hours...
I'm getting tired of the eye rolls when one of the kids acts up or talks back or when I talk to them instead of yell at them when she thinks I should be dragging them off to their room. She doesn't say anything directly, which is worse, cause at least then I could state my reasoning, but she just sighs or rolls her eyes or says "oh my."...
anyhow, I've escaped to my room under the guise of putting laundry away...
I can't wait for about 7 tonight...
:) Ahhhh... thanks to com for venting capabilities.

I feel the same way with my mother. I love her like nothing else but lately she has been driving me insane. We are moving away at the end of the year for a fresh new start just for us but since i have enrolled in a uni course and my daughter had started pre-school she keeps trying to guilt me by saying things to my daughter about all the friends she will make, she has been looking for job placements for me when my prac comes up, which won't be until next year anyway. I can't wait to get away. some space should be good for us both.

I know how you feel Tara. My mom does the sighing and "oh my" thing too. The only difference is mine is the other way around.
She will complain if my boys fight too much or take tantrums, but if I try to tell them no and raise my voice or even send them to their room the odd time, she gets upset with me.

She thinks I'm upstairs putting the baby down for a nap, he's been napping for about 10 minutes now... I'm enjoying the quiet while the kids teach her how to play Wii Wipeout..
Ahhh... then down to make dinner, get the girls ready for skating lessons, off to skate lessons from 5 till 6:30, home for a late dinner, bye bye gramma....

Ugh girl, I feel for ya! My MIL is like that. And like you, I wish she'd just SAY IT ALREADY! That way we can have a conversation about whatever it is, rather than me getting more annoyed by the minute by the sighing and eye rolling lol Vent away!
