President Obama has only 2 years left give or take some months and days…but the time is fast approaching. Ive been thinking; what are the odds of him getting reelected? I don’t think very good, based on all the things that are being slow to get better……so when 2012 comes around…….

Do you think having a woman for president of the US will change anything?
Would/could a woman can do it better? if so Why? and if not Why?
how and Would the US have better relationships with the other countries?
Who would be a good candidate…many joke that “Oprah” should run…

What do you think…..(All opinions are welcome no matter where you are from)

Kati, I think he's headed in the right direction...you can't do everything in one day :)

I still am dying for more Tina Fey as Palin jokes though ;P

I'm also an Aussie and we have a female Prime Minister (although it was by default and we didn't elect her). I don't think a female would do any better or worse a job than a man. But I also wouldn't vote solely because she is a woman, I'd have to agree with the party she represented. We're about to go to election and who knows we may actually elect our first female Prime Minister.

I'm from Australia and i don't think the absence of a penis makes that much difference politicly speaking.

That's what excites me...if Sarah Palin got into office, Canada could actually reverse the Brain Drain...so many of my favorite Americans would move here! :D

Although I would love to see a woman as President, it's not so important to me that I would vote for her soley based on her sex. To me, it really is about the candidate, and where they stand on issues that are important to me. While I was both proud and excited that a black man was elected President, his skin color was of no influence in my decision to vote for him. The same will be true in 2012...gender/race/religion have little bearing on getting my vote (well, unless one of those things negatively impacts their policies).

Sarah Palin is a woman, but there is no way in hell I would vote for her. If the unthinkable happens and she does get elected, I will be immigrating!

As long as it's not Palin, I'll listen to what a female runner has to say and offer. I wouldn't vote for a woman "just because". To me, gender has nothing to do with where I'll put my vote, what they are going to do for the public and the country matters.

Jenn - I have a iRobot vacuum, it goes by two names Lewinsky and Monica. Pretty good sucker too, carpets are clean every morning :).

I think we should elect Monica Lewinsky.

{With the way things are headed in our government these days} she's already familiar with blowing the office of President of the United States.

I think it is a definite possiblity. I could see Hillary Clinton having a lot of supporters and potentially being the President.

Sara, you took the words right out of my mouth! We will have a female president at some point, be it 2012 (i don't see that happening) or sometime in the future. I just hope that it is not her....Oprah? Yeah, I don't see that happening either.
