Should the US pull out completely or stay and try to pull it together before we actually leave?

I actually found it ironic the pull out date set... 2011.. isn't that when Canada said they are pulling out? Yet we were insulted and attacked for even suggesting that our resources can't take longer then that before we need a break. Either way.. I think its important that we set up that country with a fair shot of surviving the taliban. They aren't trained well enough yet to defend against the assassinations of the good politicians and those fighting the good fight. If something isn't done between now and 2011 I'm afraid they will be no better off then when we went in there; back in 2001. And what a waste of innocent lives lost and troops lost if they just fall back into the hands of the taliban. Why fight a war for a decade just to hand it all back to who we were trying to liberate them from?

Stay and pull it together...focus on Afghanistan, built up strength around the border regions, and put a great deal of time into working diplomatic relations with Pakistan.

Well, Here is my reasoning for them pulling out. It is purely selfish on my part.
I have already lost one of my very dearest friends over there. He was only 19 at the time. He was killed one month before he was to be back in the states, one week before Christmas. My younger brother is in Afghanistan right now, fighting for us. He was such a happy go lucky guy before he went over there. He will never be the same. I saw him 2 months ago and there was simply a shadow of my brother there.
My best friend, his brother Claude was the one that got killed, he spent 2 years there. I can't stand to look at him when he tells me of the things that he saw over there. He is studying to be a doctor now. And we just found out that they are sending him back.
So there is my simply selfish want for them all to come back.

On a political note, yes, I think we should stay and finish what we started.
But politics don't mean jack shit to me when I am crying over the loss of a good friend who had all the potential in the world.
My strongest memory of him was of him fearlessly standing under a waterfall on a school field trip. he was wearing a white shirt and he froze his butt off. We all laughed because he was so crazy.
He was a good person.

So...
there.

I agree ladies, I've been surprised by many who do think we should just leave. I'm hoping to hear their reasoning for that.
