Over 50 years ago Dwight Eisenhower warned the American congress and the public about the very real threat of what would happen if the Armaments industry and the pentagon merged.
The very idea that war in profitable is beyond words... for me anyways...

"...For one thing, the grandstanding by both parties over health care costs and Social Security is nothing more than a convenient distraction from the glaring economic truth that at the end of the day, it’s not the sick, the elderly or the poor who are stealing us blind and pushing America towards bankruptcy. It’s the military industrial complex (the illicit merger of the armaments industry and the Pentagon) that President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us against more than 50 years ago and which has come to represent perhaps the greatest threat to the nation’s fragile infrastructure today...."

"...America’s expanding military empire is bleeding the country dry at a rate of more than $15 billion a month (or $20 million an hour)--and that’s just what the government spends on foreign wars...."

How much do you know about Military spending and the history of debt in the US?
Does it bother you that your government (or the US government if you're not American) spends nearly 20 million an hour on foreign wars? Not to mention the cost of maintaining all bases home and abroad?

All I know is the friends of the Bush family have profited outrageously from our war against the Taliban.

Truly, the government doesn't share many top secret secrets with me, so I don't know much. I watch the news, but I doubt the government shares many top secret secrets with them and they put a spin on it to grab their viewers, so what we actually know ... not much

I know it is an insane system run by insane people who care more about money then the people they serve
