The baby moving. That's it. Pregnancy for me is like the flu, salmonella and having the worms all rolled up into one.

Lol, yeah the hjob for me, then sex for hubby. It works well I say. :)
I'm hoping for even longer without a period this time! Had 18 months without one with Eric, hopefully 2years or more this time since we will be cosleeping and tandem feeding..... Fingers crossed!

Things I did not miss:
-headaches
-arms that don't function due to crazy fatigue
-crazy fatigue
-excessive thirst
-nausea and hunger combo
-having nothing to wear
-being in a house with no chocolate and no juice - ummm...??? WHY?

Forgive me, I am in the oh-my-god-why-did-I-do-this phase of the first trimester.

5. The freedom to be out at nighttime! Haha. Sounds crazy, but I was in college when I was pregnant and even though I had a baby in there I was still able to go to concerts and the movies and the other school functions running later than 7pm!!!!!!!

6. Sticking my belly out and not ever feeling the need to suck it in or tighten my abs... something that had been engrained in me since I was 12!!!!

7. Knowing the baby was well taken care of inside me.

8. The attention, the bus driver stopping to get me even if I wasn't at the bus stop yet, professors praising me for coming to class even though it was past my due date, being able to tell my boyfriend "I'm hungry" and him feeling obligated to get me food : )

I'm pregnant with our second, but right after Eric was born I missed

1. The kicks

2. The hiccups

3. My big belly

4. My popped out belly button

5. People feeling the kicks through my belly

6. People asking me about the baby / pregnancy

7. The sex drive :) not actual intercourse, just hjobs

8. The compliments from everyone, specifically my husband

9. Never being alone

10. Talking to him in my belly

11. Hearing his heartbeat

12. Trying to locate body parts inside me!

13. The vivid dreams

14, actually getting sleep

15. No periods!

16. Gaining weight, love it since ive always been tiny

17. Anticipation of birth

18. Staring at my naked body before or after showers

19. All the awkward positions I found to get comfy in

20. Finding out the sex at the ultrasound

21. Picking a name

22. Telling everyone I was preggo

23. Telling everyone the sex and the name

24. Maternity pants cuz they are so comfy

I think that's most of it!

I was in my recovery room the day he was born and I told my husband I can't wait to do that again!

Labor and delivery was long, hard, and not what I expected or planned but the actual part of pushing him out and seeing him for the first time was the most amazing thing ever and that's what I couldn't wait to do again!

I missed being pregnant so bad, and I promised myself I would enjoy it more the second time around.

So far I'm really loving it! And I'm definitely taking the time to enjoy it so I don't miss it again so badly.

I just adore being pregnant! Especially now in the third trimester, it's so wonderful.

Everything! I loved being pregnant. I managed to escape the HG curse of my mother's family (still not sure how, but I'll take it!) and only had what I would consider very mild morning sickness in the beginning. I showed very early (my boss picked it when I was only 9 weeks) and ended up embracing my ginormo belly (though I could have done without the daily 'omg are you sure there's only one in there?' comments).

Up until about 35 weeks I felt great. The end was rough and I wish I could have relaxed and enjoyed it a bit more, but that's hindsight for you. People kept telling me to appreciate those last few weeks because soon I would be missing it, and I thought they were on crack. But it's so true.

[deleted account]

One thing I don't miss is not being able to reach my bottom after going to the bathroom. **Ring*Ring** "Hello BFF, could you pop by and whipe my ass for me today??? I'd be forever greatful. Thanks a million!". ; )

I had to think for 3 days to come up with an answer. Being pregnant was such a fucking misery - only the end result made it worth while.

then it came to me... the epidural. The ONLY times in my life I've been completely pain free was when I had an epidural. So, 3 times in my adult life I've had roughly 3 pain (total of 9) pain free days & nights. They were utter bliss and if I could be an addict of epidurals - I would.

[deleted account]

I never had that with Ethan, hopefully I'll have it this time round though because this one moves so much more, my insides are taking a beating :-)

[deleted account]

Ahhh I loved that part of being able to see little feet and hands press against the outside of my belly so I could tell everyone "Look at the baby!". Indeed magical. ♥

I loved everything about being pregnant except the first 3 months of all day sickness bleh. My pregnancy was fairly easy. I had high BP and had to be checked every 2 weeks the last 2 months and my blood taken everytime, but other than that it was smooth sailing. I loved feeling him move inside me and seeing him stick his hands and feet out my belly......magical ♥.

Emma - I will tell you one thing it hurts to get it in...im not going to lie about that but its worth it you don't have to do it again for 3 years if all goes well

[deleted account]

Just speak to your doctor once you've had the baby and they can explain it all to you, and give you advice on what will be best for you.

I just don't know much about it, never been on anything before. I've heard all sorts of bad things about nearly everything and shyed away from it but I want to give it a go after the baby is born.

[deleted account]

emma - in the past 12 months ive had my period twice the first one lasted 3 days and the one i just had lasted a few hours. some people are lucky with implanon and don't get their periods others constantly bleed and need the pill to regulate

[deleted account]

They can do Emma, it depends on what you're taking. As far as I know you still get a period but you have more control over it and the space between your periods (I used to take my pill back to back for three months so I only had one period every three months) I think some of the newer ones can have longer gaps as well :-)

Off topic... are hormonal contraceptives supposed to stop your period? If so... I'm in. I have to do something, anything after this baby lol I couldn't handle 3 under 3 and we've been not using condoms for so long that I doubt we'll want to use them again.

1) everyone, even strangers, being so warm and kind to me, 2) always knowing she was in there, 3) the anticipation. I loved being pregnant (lucky me, it was an easy one).

wish i had the acne free glowing face. mine was an oil slick, with moutains of nasty acne everywhere. there was honestly nothing about pregnancy that was good to me. my hair sucked, my boobs hurt, my hips and back felt like they were going to break, i showed immediately, i couldn't work without pain, my stomach is a roadmap of stretchmarks, along with my boobs, my butt, my thighs, even on the inside of my thighs, by my crotch. i was disgusting. no glow, not a damn thing fabulous.
the only thing i liked was feeling the babymove, and even that got old when i wanted to sleep and he thought it would be a great time for acrobatics. i looked forward to labor so i would be able to take drugs and get the demon spawn out of me. pregnancy blows. end rant.:)

I miss almost everything. I don't miss the grossly swollen feet or the gestational diabetes or the constant peeing, though.

But I do miss feeling the baby moving around inside of me, just having this tiny little person safe and warm in my belly. I miss all the attention. :) I miss being proud of my gigantic belly (it was the first time since puberty that I wasn't trying to camouflage my gut). I miss the baby hiccups. Oh, I just miss everything.

I just culled baby clothes. Logan was a summer baby... and this one will be a winter baby. I've been given that many long suits that I had to put the 60 short onesies in a bag for Lifeline :(

I do miss picking out baby clothes and definitely the shower.
It's so fun to buy itty bitty clothes.

I miss everything except the puking. I loved the way my body looked, loved feeling the baby move and knowing i had another human being growing inside of me.
When I was preg with my son I could say "I grew a penis but you can't grow a vagina" to my husband. ; )

Also, people are nicer to preg women. Strange phenomenon. ; ) But I hated people trying to touch me, like they have free reign to cop a feel just bc there's a baby in there. I got to where I would grab back and embarrass the crap out of people. Grab a boob, grab their balls. Have to be fair. ; )

I loved the feeling of the baby, knowing it was safe and just generally the fact that I was growing our baby inside me.
The attention from the hubby was a definite plus and the sex, my God the sex...I fall in Loureen's camp, raving sex maniac.
