Mum-of-four has N-cup breasts removed

A Peruvian mother-of-four left bedridden for six months because of her size N breasts has undergone an operation to have them shrunk.

Julia Manihuari, 29, said she fainted whenever she attempted to stand up because her breasts were so heavy, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.

Mrs Manihuari's breasts began growing after the birth of her fourth child seven years ago.

Local media recently paid for her and husband Ascension to take a three-day boat ride from their home in northern Peru to another village for medical help.

They were flown to the capital Lima where doctors diagnosed her with Bilateral Gynecomastia — a condition where the mammary glands keep growing.

Fearing the weight would eventually crush Mrs Manihuari's lungs and kill her, specialists removed 15kg of flesh from her chest during a six-hour operation.

"Before the operation I couldn't do anything — I just had to live with it," Mrs Manihuari was quoted as saying.

"It got so bad that my breasts were touching my legs.

"The stress on the rest of my body was agony."

The operation was a success and Mrs Manihuari is now a size 34B.

Perky Ds? My DDs looked like tennis balls in tube socks when I was nursing. Thank God they shrank a little and don't look so...flat.

Wow, I thought I had it bad with my two different sized ones! I am so happy that she could get the surgery!

Ah Lousie, I am 40, and there is no such thing as perky unless you have been under the knife, I'm sure :)

Breasts don't get me started I used to have a lovely pair of boobs but now nearly 40 and after three kids theres not much left! I still have an F cup but I am willing to swop for a nice perky pair of D's any body want to swop?

I thought my DD's were bad enough on my petite frame, but poor poor woman!!

They took pretty much all of her chest away! Going from an N to a B is a huge adjustment! I wonder what her size was before her 4th child? I'm sure she's greatful!

I always knew I was lucky to have my B-cups, and this is a reminder why! Poor woman, I can't even imagine! When I get to C-cups while pregnant I feel massive, but N? Wow!

Quoting Kati:

jo i wouldn't doubt the validity of moldy boob stories, i've seen video of maggots coming out of nipples....

I know a picture that you could have seen too. It was circulating in an email a few years, 1 of them a warning about making sure you wash bras you buy in stores before you wear them for any length of time.

I assure you those pictures WERE photoshopped and were not real images of rotting flesh holes with bugs or maggots in the womans breast.

There was a photoshop tutorial that I came across years ago that used it as an example on how to make 'realistic holes and flesh wounds' using tools and effects.

That being said - I don't think it's all that unrealistic to think that that kind of shit can happen and that mold, infestation, rashes and sores could occur from lack of air circulation, too much moisture and just poor hygiene...

Mmmmmassive mmmmammaries! Wow. That would suck big time. I had my breast reduction done when I got to an E cup and was in size 6 jeans. It took off 20 lbs. I can't imagine how much those gazongas must have weighed. Mine have grown back though, but I'm hoping that if I can lose weight they'll shrink. Didn't happen last time though, they just kept getting bigger.......... oh my god, could that happen to me? Maybe I should start rethinking having more kids.

Wow. Crazy. I have H's and I'm trying imagine them double that size... I'm so happy for her that she got her reduction!!!

My nursing DDD is nothing compared to that! I whine about my boobs, I can't even imagine how much that would hurt your body. I wonder if she walked funny after for a while because she was overcompensating for a while...

I'm glad she could get the surgery done. My D's bother my back sometimes, I couldn't imagine N's.

that is a tragic thing to have to put up with. I can barely handle carrying these things around, poor lady! I can't even imagine!

Holy! That poor woman! I am so glad she was able to get the life-changing surgery that she needed in order to live a normal life!

Yikes! I thought I was bad off when I wore a G cup! An N-cup -- that's "N" as in "Nature has decided to completely f**k me over, hasn't it?"

No mine are fine thank you.

Poor woman.. At least there was a happy ending to all of this.

I cant imagine what it would be like having to live with boobs of that size.

Wow, that's insane!

The video of them lifting her breasts up reminded me of something I saw somewhere, I honestly can't remember where... but there was an organization that was asking for BRA donations. They wanted lightly used, clean, bra's in good condition that women would donate to women in countries where bra's weren't exactly well manufactured because the increase of heat in some places in the world and the increase of doctors in different areas of the world there has been more and more women that are diagnosed with breast issues because their breasts don't get the support they need.

As well as some other more disgusting issues of breasts becoming saggy because of the lack of support and with the lack of water / bathing, there were bacteria, rashes, dermetology issues and even mold growing under the breasts of some women, who never knew really that they would / should lift their breasts and clean underneath everyday in order to avoid the moisture and remove the 'dark hidey place' for that kind of stuff to manifest itself.

I can't remember what the organization was called or even where it was based from... (I also question the validity of the moldy boob stories) but I know the back support / breast support thing was something they were focusing on.
