I haven't checked the opinion polls in a few days, but man! It's starting to look pretty close! All my area and the surrounding areas appear to be overwhelmingly NDP supporters.

This is going to be an interesting election ladies.

Good Luck at the polls today!!!

I'm still trying to figure out how neither of the other parties thought to put the "contempt of parliament" into their advertisements.

Whelp, I feel your pain. Mostly, because I can't vote in Canada, but I live here. Also, my daughter will be going into first grade by the time the demonic robot is done with his majority.

It feels a lot like when I voted in the Kerry/Bush election. Every one of my friends was shocked and the world looked at Americans like they were more stupid than they originally thought.

However, it was what a majority of the Americans who voted wanted....and they got it. Then the Republicans got a whole lot of rope to hang themselves with. Hopefully, the same thing will happen politically in Canada. It may be the only way a party like the NDP could finally get a prime minister in there. It is an opening for them...just a really long term opening.

Harper's colours will show. It is just sad they will show by damaging things you hold near and dear. Still, it is can all be changed after he is out...it'll just take a whole lot of effort and growing pains.

It is my hope that it isn't as bad as everyone thinks. I love Canada. If I have to move back to the states because it gets too toxic here though...I will. Wow, I never thought I'd say that.

@ Krista, i know how you feel. I really hate that guy to. I was really hoping that this time around it would be different. I really don't want to loose our Mat leave cause after all we pay for it like you said there for we should get it.

I feel like someone ripped out my heart and took a giant, steaming shit in my chest cavity.

Veronique, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he cut our mat leave, even though WE'RE the ones paying into it. I hate that miserable fucker with the heat of a thousand suns.

Oh, and we can say goodbye to any and all environmental protections that might have been in place, as flimsy as they were. Take a good long look at our forests and wetlands, folks...they're not long for this world.

Boo!

Well.... Anybody got a shovel I can borrow? I'm gonna go dig a hole in my backyard to bury my head in until the next election.

Bah! My city is one of the very few in southern ontario to elect NDP for both east and west. All surrounding area is Tory! I'm on Gilligans' Island.

Just had a quick look at the polls in my area and it's the Tories in the lead with the NDP hot on their heels.

So nervous!!! If the conservatives win a majority (unlikely but possible) just listen for someone screaming their head off all the way from the west coast. Like Laura said, how can they be eligible when they were in contempt of parliament?!!?!?

Ha, my husband is already planted in front of the tv, ready with the laptop on all the news sites. I think he thinks it's a sports game! :) Should be interesting.

Yep -- the statisticians are predicting a Tory minority with the NDP as Official Opposition. It just irks me though, that he can be found in Contempt of Parliament and STILL be eligible as leader! WTF!!!

No hope in my riding. It's as blue as a frustrated Smurf's balls.
