Have you been tracking your ovulation and having sex during your peak times? Or having sex every 2-3 days if you're not tracking ovulation?
Have you both been tested for fertility?
Have you otherwise spoken to your doctor about things that could be preventing pregnancy (weight, other medical conditions, etc.)?

If it's only about age and other people's opinions that you shouldn't have a child because you're too old, then tell those people to mind their own business. If you both want to have a child, then you should. There are risks being older, but there are many older ladies having healthy babies these days.
