So what did you all think of our little show? Was it worth the billions of dollars?

I'm pretty much bursting with pride today. I thought we kicked some serious ass and the world really got to know us. I loved when the mime came out to "fix" the fourth pillar.

Right on! We're in Abbotsford! I wish we managed to get downtown for some festivities but we were in Vegas thru the first week visiting my sister-in-law and then as soon as we got home my daughter and I ended up with a cold, slash flu, slash I don't know what it was but it knocked me on my ass and my mom had my daughter for 2 days!

Right in Vancouver. We just hopped on the skytrain to get to all the sites, so it was very convenient, even with our daughter along.

I liked the closing ceremonies much better than the opening, I LOVED a lot of things (the whales, the Emily Carr Trees, the poet, the closing) but I hated a couple of things too (I thought the white dancing people were goofy, Nellie Furtato and Bryan Adams were awkward, and I didn't like the people dressed in white wandering around to a narrated story)

I think though, all in all...it was pretty great, I enjoyed it. And I'm feeling pretty proud to be a Canadian too. I bet the Vancouverites are happy to have their city back now though.

I'm just catching up on my laundry & all of my chores now. It was a crazy 2 weeks. We were out checking out all the stuff and we went up to Whistler to watch the ski jumping. We wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the Olympics because we'll be paying it off for a long time to come. We had a blast, but honestly, we are still not certain that it was worth it.

CANADA ROCKS! I'm sooo proud to be Canadian! Unfortuately I was stuck at home by myself because my daughter was napping and I couldn't get a babysitter to watch the game with friends and family but I am proud to say that I watched the entire men's gold medal hockey game AND......I HATE watching hockey on TV normally! And OMG! I love curling.....I find it fascinating! We had a lot of the althletes practicing in Abbotsford where I live because we have an amazing curling rink down the road from my house!

I know the feeling Jenny! When Sydney had the 2000 Games it was like everything just came to a stand still for 2 weeks. Yes it cost a shit load of money, and there were disruptions, but for me it was all worth it. Anything that generates so much national pride is good in my books.

As an Aussie, I must admit the Winter Games don't really do it for me, so I didn't see much of the competition. But what I caught of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies were impressive.
