so i want to know peoples thoughts. say a woman is still breast feeding a 17 month old and has been on constant birth control since the child was 6 weeks old. the woman has not had a period since may of 2008. she took antibiotics for almost all of june. she is now experiencing fatique, spontanious vomitting, some nasuea, frequent urination as well as being irritable. her milk production has gone down and the milk now has a very watered look, as it also hurts to nurse.

Pregnant!! Like someone else mentioned, antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of the pill. I'd be getting a test, for sure!

I would agree with the others. Pregnancy test and then a quick trip to the doc if it's negative :)

first thought *Pregnancy test*, all those symptoms are possible signs of first trimester pregnancy. Antibiotics can interfere with hormonal birth control.
Also depends what she was taking the antibiotics for, did she take entire course (a whole month sounds like she did) and did infection clear completely? This could be a recurring infection. Or a new infection.
Also possible that she has had a reaction to antibiotics. Was she taking acidophilous as well as antibiotics? Could be she has developed Candidiasis which can become systemic and cause candidemia.
Either way, a trip to the doctor is warranted. A pregnancy test first to rule out or confirm pregnancy would be helpful though.

Sounds exactly like me when my daughter turned a year old. My first is now 21 months old and my second little girl is 3 weeks old. I continued breastfeeding Kiera until she was 17 months.

I was still breastfeeding and was on birth control when I conceived Emma.

I'd be high-tailing it to the doctor's to find out what's going on with my body!
