so i leave for work last night...then as i am pulling out the carport i realize i left my phone in the house, well i didn't want to be without that driving in snow to an overnight job..i pull up, not all the way into the dry carport, which i should have, but outside of it. I hop out my truck, fall and hit the step to the truck on the way down...now my bum is on fire as well as my leg...i work almost 9 hours like this, on the way out, a nurse has an emergency, i stick around to help him with that...Butt is still burning right, so since i work at a hospital, i decide i should probably go to the ER..i drive around the corner to that side of the building(did i mention that sitting is now some sort of torture at this point, but i prob just have a bruise on my bum....i get there, have to lay on the bed with 3 different people looking at my bum....get 10 x-rays and then the doctor comes in and says.."so..you're broken"...."excuse me".."yes, you broke your coccxy/sacrum".....basically, you broke your butt...

WHO DOES THIS???.i did get to have fun though...they had to give me something for pain because he doesn't like to see people cry while he pokes their bum..lol...so they made me call my husband to come and get me, i called my husband and said that the male doctor was done feeling on my butt and he needed to come and get me..lol, well...the doctor is easy on the eyes,..lol...so my husband is already sulking at this doctor getting a "free feel'..lol...so when the doctor comes to tell us what the x-rays said, my husband automatically looks at me with fire in his eyes....when the doctor leaves, he turns and says.."o really, now they hire models to come in here and pretend to be doctors?, you mean to tell me the guy off general hospital was in here feeling my wife's butt up?...and well you know me.."yes....and he was very gentle..so don't worry"..lmbo....lets just say my husband is downstairs making me breakfast...but i think i'll pass....

okay..just a quick story to lighten your sunday....lmbo...I can't believe i broke my butt, who does that?...

hahah you poor thing I've done similar. I got home from shopping with my 3month old while 2yr old was at kindy. Baby was asleep in his car seat so i decided to leave him there and wash the car leaving it running for the aircon. When I finish washing the car I leant it and turned it off only for it to start rolling down our steep driveway towards the street because I'd left the hand break off. In my panic and thinking only of baby in the back I decide it's a good idea to get in the car to stop it. Well, I don't know anyone who can out run a runaway car a jump in it and neither can I. What happens next is the open car door, that I'm trying to get into, knocks me down and the sharp bottom edge smacks me in the back of the head and the car goes across the street, down the neighbour's rock wall garden and into their front yard.

Then I check the baby, he's still asleep. So I get him out and go to another neighbour who we know well and ask them to look after my son while I call my husband and organize a tow truck to get the car out. Instead they insist on calling me an ambulance and I tell them I'm fine and just got a bit of a pump on the head. At this point I touch the sore spot on my head and find my hand is covered in blood. Turns out I had a 7cm gash down to the bone requiring 5 large staples and concussion. When I finally got home from hospital and changed my clothes I discover the back of my shirt is completely covered in blood and my wet hair wasn't from the nurses cleaning my wound but was blood too.

Hope your bum feels better soon.

I've known three people who did this: two fell off horses and one did it gardening. Not as uncommon as you'd think. Hope you're butt feels better soon ;-)

Tah, sorry to hear you are in so much pain. It's funny, but it's not. And just think it is all because of a cell phone lol.

Ok, I almost pee'd myself laughing every time I read "I broke my butt". I'm sorry for your pain, but its such a funny thought and I'm picturing you sitting on a donut pillow !

I've fractured so many bones including my sternum, that hurt. I can only begin to imagine how much your tail bone must hurt. Watch out for the speed bumps in the road when your driving they really hurt when you fracture something in the core of your body !

Thanks for the giggle Tah. I have also broken my butt. For me though I had a young, nerdy looking and very nervous doctor tell me I wasn't the first person he had seen with a crack in their bum... hardy har har...

That's probably one of the few bones in my body I haven't broken. Yet. I'm still young(ish) and the day is still new so anything's possible lol

Sorry your butt is broken Tah! Hope it heals fast. I'm assuming you got time off from work, some decent pain meds and a donut pillow? :)
