If I ate meat, I would eat anything that didn't look like it used to be alive and wiggley.

I don't eat meat, so this won't work for me

Yeah, I get that eating insects is gross. But that's only because we are socially conditioned to think that way. There is nothing at all actually wrong with eating bugs. They are a very healthy and nutritionally sound food choice. Do I want to? Not really. But if I had to I would. Perhaps one day I'll give it a shot. They might be alright mixed in with a stir fry. Shrimp are kind of like bugs of the sea, and I eat them...

I rather tend to be of the opinion that if you are going to eat other living creatures, you shouldn't be too picky about it. As long as it isn't harmful or totally revolting, we should eat the food we are so fortunate to have. Nothing irritates me more than people who will eat a chicken breast but absolutely refuse to eat the drumstick or the foot. If you won't eat the whole beast when it's on offer, become a vegetarian! Otherwise, it's wasteful.

Interesting video. I've actually eaten crickets and flying termites, yes, on purpose. And they're not bad, really. So, this doesn't creep me out too much.
As long as no one tries to make me eat cockroaches. Those are just nasty, dirty bugs!

I would try them and if I liked them I would eat them again.

I could easily get over the fact it's a bug if it's prepared well and tastes good.

:)

I think it would be a huge benefit to the earth in comparison to the millions of cows that currently occupy too much of our planet.

edited to add, I eat snails, and I love prawn and shrimp which are all just bugs of the ocean. lol and snails are just slugs in their own slug RV.

My first reaction is hell no! but then I read some responses I guess it depends on the bug. There really is nothing inherently gross about eating bugs but it would still need to be a texture, flavour and smell I would find appetizing. I do love prawn so why wouldn't I love cockroaches smothered in lemon garlic butter?

EWW. No thanks :S
Not that I would anyways; I inhaled a bug last summer and THAT made me feel like a bad vegetarian.

I have been vegetarian for a while now but if I needed to eat meat, I would. If I can get away with not doing so, I'll do that.
My kids eat meat. I don't know if they'd eat bugs, lol

Nooooooo thank you. I mean I'm all for saving the rainforest and cutting carbon emissions, and maybe even bettering my diet. I just can't do bugs.

I'll keep that in mind. Where can you pick them up? ;)

I don't think I'd eat cockroaches either, I think they'd probably take out my fillings if I tried to chew them. I did eat a slug once, it was revolting. But if I was starving, I'd do it again. I survived the first time so at least I know it's safe.
