This remedy I know works. I have heard a few drops of peroxide in the ear cleans up the ear wax and dries out any water that might be in there. I have also here a few drops of olive oil but don't quote me on the olive oil. It doesn't sound to good to me. All of my kids got tubes put in there ears and after that no more ear infections.

my 7 month old son has had constant ear infections in both ears since he was 3 months old. The doctors gave him a stronger antibiotic each time he had an ear infection. They would work for a week or so then it would come back. At one point in time, there was blood that came out of his ear one nite while he was sleeping!! It scared the crap outta me!! He's fine but still keeps getting the infections. The dr's are talking about putting tubes in his ears.
But usually i give him his Antibiotics and Tylenol...more than Ibuprofen. And the dr also prescribed him ear drops to help for the pain...so u can ask your doctor about those.

i use a mixture of apple cider viniger, colloidal silver olive oil and two drops of garlic oil, it seems to work for our family. garlic has great antibacterial properties.

Ok this one is a little politically inccorect but when I was young I had chronic ear aches/infections...my mother use to blow smoke in my ear!!! I have never tried it with my child but it did work for me. she would also dip a cotton ball in baby oil or olive oil and place it in my ear afterwards and make me lie with the sore ear up to the roof for a few mins....

My mom used to use a warm dry towel, heated by an iron. She'd put a piece of cotton in the ear to keep the cold air out. That with the meds was soothing enough to allow sleep.

I took my daughter to the doc when she got hers about 5 1/2 months old--they gave her Amoxicillin for 10 days only thing that helped her--gave her baby tylenol to get through the night b4 we could get in but it didn't really help--neither of us slept much that night & the next 3 nights were rough too--but after that she was fine!

a few drops of warmed sweet oil really helps a ear ache, most infections come with pain too.

To to three drops of olive oil in affected ear. Additionally you can put a warm pack (warm cloth, heating pad, etc.) on the neck near the affected ear.

Hi, I have battled many, many ear infections starting with my own, down to my grandchildren. i use a soft cloth and something to warm it, ( hair dryer ) and hold over the ear. it eases the pain instantly. laying on the ear with the warm cloth can be very soothing to the patient. I hope this helps you! Darlyne Neal :)

The white vinegar solution is good for preventing 'swimmer's ear'. Fill the ear canal with vinegar/water after child has been in the water, then cotton balls in ears. The acid in the vinegar alters the pH inside the ear canal and helps to prevent an external ear infection.

Ok u may not like mine. But its an old time remedy, works even for adults. I am 27 and have done it. It really works and its free. Takes away the pain and infection with in two days. You have to get pee from the person with the infection. You only need three drops. That's it. You lay them on the side with the infection and drop the drops in that ear. Let it sit for a min. Then bath the outside of the ear with a warm rag. In the morning give them a bath in Epsom salt. Will do wonders. I promise.

Daughter would not take any meds until this year at all. She is just about to turn five. I would always have to give the doctors to give me antibiotic shots if she had to get them. I have tried every witch doctor thing. Home remedy and herbal remedies. Lemon wedges work on bug bites also. For the future takes the sting away. Just rub it on for a min. Hope this helps.

i use this remedy all the time for my son because he is allergic to pennicillin and omnicef(which sucks for me!) lay him on a heating pad with his infected ear directly on the pad for about 15mins at a time and my son felt so much better!

Learned from my science class that by cutting an onion in half and heating it up in the microwave will case a natural sulfur gas to be created, place near the ear. Sulfur is the active ingredient in ear drops.

stay far away from antibiotics, if at all possible. Research them. If you child has been on them before, they will need to be on probiotics to replenish the good bacteria that the drugs destroyed. Tons of great over the counter herbal/homeopathic remedies (ex garlic oil) and see a chiropractor. A very common reason for infections is that the ear canal itself needs to be adjusted (if out of place can cause pooling in ears leading to infection) Hope that helps:)

#1 is breastmilk, #2 is coconut oil. Both have antibacterial properties and will clear up the infection and both are 100% natural.

having a dehumidifyer in the room helps along with a heating pad, and I would use Tylenol; try not to use too much ibuprofen as it's not good for young children.

[deleted account]

a couple of drops of olive oil in each ear and of course some pain meds. that you can use for your child.

Hi, I've found laying on a heating pad really helps. Of course, you'd have the sore ear on the heat. Just be careful it's not too hot. Also...have you given any Tylenol or Ibuprofen? Good luck. I know how painful they are. :(

I have heard that you can take white vinegar with clean water and mix it 50/50 and drop iot into the ears and then just wiggle it head to make sure that it gets all the way down. I have never tried it but I don't think it will hurt any to try. Hope this helps. Best of luck!!
