Gall Bladder problems after pregnancy

I had my second son 7 months ago. When he was born the doctor had problems removing the placenta so I had to have a D&C when he was 3 days old. Then I kept on bleeding and was sure something wasn't right because I had had the D&C so everything should have been removed. One night I had such bad pain that I thought was heartburn, but nothing would help. Then it just went away. About a week later, I had the pain again. I decided to take myself to the ER while my husband stayed home with the kids. I ended up in the hospital for a week and my gall bladder being removed. Two surgeries in 8 weeks with a newborn and a 1 year old was not fun!! I found out that the bleeding had most likely been from my gall bladder, not from giving birth. I just want to make everyone aware that the doctor said this is quite common for women to have gall bladder problems after having a baby. Make sure to get it checked and be adamant about it if you keep bleeding. Hope none of you have to go through what I had to go through! I feel a million times better and have loads of energy now that my gall bladder is gone! It was tough at first with healing from surgery, but that was much easier than dealing with the pain!

I had gall bladder issues with my second son, and I had to completely change my diet, which helped tremendously. After I had him, the pain started back up again, so I took another look at my diet, cut out greasy, oily foods, and I haven't had a problem since. Thank you for sharing!

I started having problems with my gullbladder a couple of weeks after my latest baby, now 16 months, was born. It was hell. I was going to have surgery on it but I got upset with the dr. because the day I thought I was going into surgery they changed it and made me drive an hour for nothing. But the pain has since gone away and I haven't had any problems for about 2 or 3 months now.
