My Irish twins are 8 month a 14 days apart. They were suppose to be a about 11 months 2 weeks apart but Emma decided to lessen the gap and come out at 28 weeks. :) I don't know anyone else with I rish twins so I am excited that this is a group!

My kiddos are exactly 1yr and a week apart. Would mine still be considered Irish twins?

My 2 children are 14 months apart (the baby came a few yrs earlier than we had planned) and I have had the real deal (meaning an Irish person) tell me that my 2 are considered Irish Twins. Don't know if this helps at all. They are now 13 &14 yrs old & are very close. But I had an extremely hard time when they were very young. My oldest had just turned 7 when I had my last baby. Thankfully he wasn't a jealous kid but still required alot of attention. Looking back now I wouldn't have it any other way.

Mine are 11 months apart. They are now 20 and 21. For the month they are the same age, they still love to play a game on people who dont know them, about being the same age but not "twins".

I'm about to join the club, my first will turn on valentines day, and my second will be born via C-section two days later, does the C-section not make it worst in those first weeks, will i be able to pick up my one year old the first days.. I have so many questions and know nobody else who is in the same boat.

I'm so glad this is a group. I'm 7 weeks and have a 4 month old... I am still in shock. I'm due two days after her first birthday. I'm expecting it might be sooner since I was 3 weeks early with my daughter due to pre-e and it will be a c section. I'm so glad this is a group bc I'm having a hard time thinking of what's to come. It's a miracle , but I'm still nervous!

My boys are 11.5 months apart exactly. Braiden was born February 24 2010. Logan's due date was march 3 2011 but with some complications, too much fluid, he was breech and his size I had a csection at 37 weeks so he was born February 10 2011. Weighing 9 pounds 5 oz. I was glad I didn't have to wait the last three weeks and luckily braiden started walking a couple weeks before his little brother was born :). We have their birthday party on the weekend between their actual birthdays.

Olivia was born june 3rd 2007 While Andrew joined us May 11th 2008 .. We went from having 2 kids to 4 in less then a year :) So odd celebrating Olivias 1st birthday with our newborn son !! We then added 2 more to the crew giving us a grand total of 6 little ones under 11 :) Now that Olivia and Andrew are 5 and 6. I get asked ALL the time if they are 'twins' they look alot alike , both are blonde and she is small , they wear the same size clothes and shoes. The days are getting easier with them too .. those first few years were hectic and so exhausting . Good luck to those of you who are just beginning the journey :)

I have two kids 7 1/2 months apart. They were supposed to be 10 months apart but my baby girl came at 25 weeks. Has anyone ever had two kids that close before? I've never met anyone else with kids that close before. Mine were born in march 2006 and October 2006.

I was told by an older lady that the term applies to siblings born to the same mother & father under 15 months apart. I only asked because I had never heard the term before having my 2nd son, 13 mos after my 1st. LOL. They look so much alike except their actual size but I have never gone out ANYWHERE without being asked if they are twins!! It's pretty funny. Now that they are 3 & 4 I guess they are so used to being asked they just say yes haha.

My fraternal twin boys are ONE minute apart. My oldest son is 10 and his birthday is 6 days before theirs... My twins are 2yrs and 4 months old. :) My husband and I are both redheads and we both have hazel eyes. Joel was the first twin to arrive and he is redheaded with green eyes. Jacob came one minute later and has golden blonde hair with eyes as blue as the sky. My oldest son, Jackson, is my brownie. :) He has light brown hair and light brown eyes.

I believe my girls may be Irish Twins. I had never heard of it until a couple mentioned it to me. Anyway they are born May 10, 2009, and June 27, 2010. Let me know if I am correct lol! Thanks!

Mine are 12 months and 7 days apart....to make it more affordable they share a birthday party....people constantly get their ages mixed up and think the younger is the elder since the elder is so petite....but I think they actually prefer it that way.....they were really dependant on each other socially for the longest of time and now are finally as they hit 10 and 11 beginning to find themselves....

If I'm correct Julie, Irish twins are siblings born within a year of each other. Don't worry I didn't know about it until a lady told me I had them :)

My Irish twins are 11 months and 8 days apart or 342 days apart from each other. Transitioning from bottle to sippy for my, now 14 month old was tricky, but became easy when I bought an Active Cup by Nuk. Now, I am trying to get my eldest to only use the pacifier during nap and bed time, but he keeps stealing it right from his younger newborn brother's mouth!
