My daughter just turn 2 two weeks ago and she has become very very picky eater. She was picky eater before but now is worse. I want her to eat a balance meal but all she want to eat is bananas, apples, carrots and raisens. We serve her for each meal a balance meal and she refuse to eat it or ask for an apple, carrots or a cookie.

We give her the same food we eat, she seat with us on the table.

Does someone have a picky eater at home to. What do you do that works for you? Any advice?

my son was a picky eater until about a month ago and now hes still picky but he does eat alot more .... i always give him what he wants after i first try to feed him our supper ... as long as hes eating i go with it and like mimi mine will often live off a liquid diet ... so i up him to homo milk and keep up with his multi vitamin .... the zellers brand is ok for 2 year old the flintstone is 2.5 years i think .... so i give him the vitamin pharmacist recommended ..... when he is eating properly .. i tend not to worry about his multi .... also if she likes bananas ,,, try serving her a peanut butter and banana sandwich with a cup of milk ... it makes for a balanced meal with a grain, protien, fruit and then the milk ....my nanny taught me that ... my dad had gone through a stage where that was all he would eat and the doctor told my nanny that he had made a good choice and to serve it with milk

I also have been told a child will never starve themselves. I have a picky eater. He hardly eats anything for dinner, maybe two to three bites of whatever we serve him. This has been going on for at least 2 months. we have to give him a snack before bed or he's up during the night wanting a poptart (one of the few things he will eat all of). Hopefully this is all a phase and they will grow out of it.

I have a picky eater as well especially when he teethes!  He's on a liquid diet right now, refusing everything, so at least your little one will eat bananas, apples, etc...Things could be worst.  The good news is that this is just a stage and it helps to repeat to yourself every so often "this too will pass."  Most picky toddlers grow out of this stage.  You could try a multi-vitamin if it makes you feel better or get a Carnation instant Breakfast package and stir it in the whole milk just to add some calories.  Please do not stress over this though.  My doctor told me that never in the 15 years he's been practicing has he seen a child starve themselves.  The more calm you are, the less time this phase will last.  I hope this helps.  I feel your pain!

Hi, our doctor says that children eat what they need, they won't starf themselves.
They only need to eat 1 good meal (a full plate) in 3 days. don't give anything in between the meals always helps here. goog luck
