I take my son every so often during the day he wakes up dry and comes to me he has this down and has been dry at night since day 1.. I wont put him in nappies I think personally for my little one it sends mixed signals. after about 5 days he got what we wanted from him .. now it depends on his mood some days 1 accident other days 1 on the toilet hehee.. his communication is behind but he does say wees for wees now and towettym for poos( normally ages before or just after) poos we are still trying to get but the other day he did a poo in his pants and went and got a nappy to try and hide it .. then the next day I said to him do you need to poo and he ran straight to the potty and did a poo he was so excited he hugged the potty ( lucky the lid was closed).. so I think you sort of just have to guide them and they will get it when they are ready .. we have been going at it 3 months tomorrow and we are no where near toilet trained but we are doing well and he will get there.. the best thing about it is my 12 month old now every time I say do you need to do wees or poos to my 2 year old will go and sit on the potty .. so once Cameron has mastered it I will be started Ewan when he hits 18 months

We're just letting it happen naturally (sort of). A friend of mine gave me the Once a Upon a Potty video. It looks really old and out of date, but my daughter really loves watching it. Yesterday, out of the blue, she walked up to husband, pulled her pants down, and said "Diaper off". He took her diaper off, she went and sat on her potty and both pee'd and pooped. I would suggest just starting off by talking about it, letting her see you go, and keep a potty available. She'll let you know when she's ready.

I could use some tips myself. My daughter just went this morning but only because I noticed her diaper was dry when she woke up and I put her right on the potty. This was only the 2nd time she ever did it for me. Usually she sits on it forever and then when she has to pee she gets up and does it on the floor

My son kind of started it himself, I just have to watch for his cues and remind him to go. He will grad his crotch for pee or hide in the corner for poo. Try to pick up on her cues and go from there.

try to observe the pattern she is almost doing her thing when she does not have any diaper on and gently direct her to the potty continuously and if its peeing tell her its pee time and if its poo time tell her so when on the potty it worked for my two year old son

We just went to full time undies and I took my daughter to the potty with every accident. She got it pretty quickly that way and almost accident free now. Good luck!
