My daughter just turned two on the 19th of January and she has some words that you can't understand but she knows what she wants and she'll say if she wants milk she'll ask "milk please" I also started her using sign language at 15 months so it has helped her with her words and knowing the sign for many things. I would give her a few months and make sure you tell her over and over what something is if she wants it. My niece turned 2 in December and she just told me the other day "I want to play with the bop-it please" so I think it's all in time. Good Luck!!
