I was wondering if any of your children bang their heads repeatedly?

Oh yes! Headbanging and shaking it from side to side, Both of which are perfectly normal. A friend suggested that it could be with new teeth coming through, and that the children don't know what's going on, so shake their heads to move the pain.

Sorry for the delay I meant to post right away................anyhow our doctor said all kids go through this stage, however it can be from allergies which cause irritation in their ears................our Granddaughter does have allergies and will get further testing done to see if there is something else to add to the can not eat list...... hope that helps!

My son does this also. He does it out of frustration. But when he starts doing it repeatedly, I tell him no, and if he does it again, I put him in a 'safe place' which is his crib. I leave him there about a minute, and once he calms down, I'll take him out. I had to do this 6 times in a row once before he stops. But I kelp doing it, and now he'll stop when I say no. Good luck, it's hard and all the bruises on the head are so embarrassing.

My little guy does this and so do many of my friends little ones. My friend asked their doctor and they said it is normal and a part of the child learning their own pain tolerance. My little guy now only does it once, on the floor when he doesn't get his way, or against the wall, etc. But if you tell him no, he'll continue and do it more than once.
