Kids are dirty - honestly, just let them be dirty as well a bit - of course I clean my sons hands and face after dinner, but he does not get more than 1 bath a day. It is part of childhood, to get dirty and don't care about it. I was worried about bacterias for a long time till my GP told me it is also good to create some resistance...

I was giving my daughter 2 baths a day too. She made such a mess of herself eating there was just no way to get her clean outside of the tub. I slather her in lotion and she has mild eczema but she never had too much of a problem. She's been doing a lot better eating so I'm able to wipe her down but every so often it's in her hair and everywhere so I throw her in the tub real quick. We haven't had any problems and she loves bath time, no matter how many a day she gets. : ) It doesn't seem to matter though. She can be clean as a whistle at home and the second we pull up to the store I notice her face is dirty. Never fails. One of those things. lol

why do you bath him so often is it cause he is dirty or cause he enjoys it ?

I bath my boys once a day and after meals they get there hands and face washed with a wipe or wash cloth and wash there hands after each nappy change as I think its a good habit. My boys love there baths but I wouldn't bath them more than once .. 1 cause its a waste of water and 2 cause kids get dirty!! thats how they are meant to be grubby and messy and having way to much fun to care!

My daughter is also a messy eater, we used a larger size kids t-shirt as a bib, and baby wipes to clean her up (they work better than a washcloth sometimes). Unless she eats something like spaghetti we only give her a bath every other day(except in the summer and then she gets one every day), so her skin doesn't get too dry.

Too much bathing could dry out his skin. If he does not need all those baths, I would cut back to 1 a day at most. My daughter has eczema so we only bathe her every other day - or her skin gets all dried and red.

Yeah I did worry about his skin, so i do put baby lotion with shea n cocobutter on him..we have cut down to one in the morning and one at bed time..so far his skin looks pretty good but i always look to make sure just incase:)

can I ask why do you give him so many baths a day? I give my daughter a bath every night before bed. I thought that was plenty. DOes your son just like the water ?

Actually yes he does love the water, but he also feeds himself now and tends to get very messy. Sometimes I can wash him up with a towel but most of the time its easier to put him in the tub!
