my 21 month old daughter used to always sleep in her own bed which is a toddler bed and she loves. i just had another daughter in june and the first month and a half she slept in our room in her pack n play. ever since i had my second daughter, my 21 month old wont sleep in her bed she comes into our bed. i have tried everything that i can think of. i will wait until she falls asleep and put her in her bed but then she will eventually wake up screaming histarically and come into our bed. i have tried just putting her in her bed and just letting her cry. i have brought her mattress and put it on our floor in our room. i also now put my 3 month old in her crib in there bedroom (they share a room) and she sleeps fine in there but my 21 month old still will want to sleep in our bed. help! i dont know what else to do. thanks!

i need help with the situation too!! my son is currently 21 months old and he just started sleeping through the night at 17 months, when he was little we had a one bedroom apt so he was always in the room with us but slept in his own bed 90% of the time. well my husband joined the military and he has his own room and has for 4 or 5 months now. he was doing awesome in his own room, then we got him a toddler bed. he slept well in that also. he would wake up at like 7 every morning and come in our room and wake me up, no big deal. well now all he wants to do is sleep with us. we put him to bed in his room and he would wake up at 4 and get in bed with us, then it went to 2 and now 12. i do not know how to get him to sleep in his room after that, he always cries for EVER or just crawls back in the bed with us before morning. my husband and i do not know what to do about it. any advice will help greatly!!!!!!!!

I am having the same problem with my daughter. She slept in her crib just fine until we went through 6 months of ear infections. That is when I made the mistake of letting her sleep with us and the same things are happening at our house. We try and let her cry it out but after an hour of hearing her scream I give up and go get her. I completely understand what you are going through. If you have any advice for me I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

i put rail up so my younget wouldn't get out of bed. i know it hard but you are going to have to let her cry some. after a while she'll lurn that she's not getting her way. and i had to put my kids in there own rooms. i have a little girl thats going to be 4 in nov. and a little girl thats 21 months. sharing a room sucked. one would end up waking the other one. good luck. i know having kids can be hard.
