does NOT show separation anxiety = problem ??

My son had his 18 month - 2 year check up today and he is going really well except he has never shown signs of anxiety but in all the pamphlets I was given say there may be a problem if he does not show separation anxiety .
Is this really a problem ??
My 8 month old doesn't show any either. Are they just relaxed like I think or could there be emotional issues?? I can leave them with my aunty whom they have never met before and they are fine with her and wont even look for me. When I come in the room they see me and walk over and want a cuddle. but they are not upset I was gone.

I really liked this about them both but now they have me worried. What is your 22 month old like ?

My daughter doesn't fuss either when I leave her at daycare, she has been going since she was 6 months old now she's 23 months. I don't think it's a problem I see it as each child has their unique traits and some handle the seperation better then others. It sounds like your son is independant and knows you will always be there even if you are not physically near him.

Hey Pamela, you are blessed, believe me.... My 22 mo.old daughter does'nt let me step out of the house if she finds with a bag and car keys, I leave without saying a word and especially when she is playing. She keeps crying till I'm long gone. I do all the daily shopping in one go after work even if I'm tired. Its really nice to have kids with no seperation anxiety.
