Hi everyone,

Welcome to the January 2008 Babies community, where we chat about our January 2008 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely January 2008 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi everyone, my daughter Alayna is a jan 2008 baby born on the 24 i was in labor with this little girl for 28hrs the most horrible experience ever! But might i add i would do it all over again. She is now 4years old and just the smartest little girl i know. She's in pre-k and eeryday amazes me with how much information she can absorbed. Her teacher says she is the brightess in her class, shes writing letters, her full name including her middle. Shes doing math and she's very helpful around the house. Her personality amazes me because its like watchn a grown woman thats trapped inside a 4yr old. I am a single parent and my daughter is a blessing. Shes at that age now where she questions everything, says how she feels and is now requesting for a sibling which I would love to give her if posdible one day down the line. I just wanted to share my joy with you and hope to read other mothers stories about their kids

Hi, I am Samantha and my daughter Lisa will be one year old on 2nd of January. Lisa loves to watch cartoons and therefore, I am planning to celebrate her birthday with a cartoon theme such as Minnie Mouse or Barnyard Bash etc. One of my friends has suggested me to shop from MyBirthdaySupplies, as they provide the theme supplies at an affordable price.

My daughter, Bryonna, was born January 15th. I can't believe she will be 5 soon. Where has the time gone? She is a very smart girl. Loves watching Dora the Explorer and picking on her baby brother. She knows her numbers, colors, and shapes. Just this year she learned the alphabet. I am now trying to teach her how to spell her name so she can be ready for school next fall.

My baby Abigail was born 1/27/08 and is my funny little tom boy. She was recently turned down from going to preschool because she is too smart. They don't take into account that she has a sister who is 10 months older and when she would come home with homework I would make a copy for Abby. (To add insult to injury when she went in for a screening my baby answered all the teacher's questions in Spanish and English, lol) The curriculum at the schools aren't challenging enough for her so I am home schooling her. I only wanted her to go to socialize anyway, really. Smh thought I was helping her and now I think I have hurt her.

Hi there, I am new to the circle of moms group. I have with in the last 2 years, became a stay at home mom, leaving my career of 8 years, started an at home boutique business and our family moved to a new state. Whew...it's been crazy to say the least. All with a 6 and 4 year old. My January 2008 baby is Ava. She is a sensitive and very active 4 year old. I am excited to get started in this group and hopefully meet some moms who would like to chat. It gets lonely at home sometime.

Hi, My name is Leonor, and my son Caden Harte was born on Jan. 31st. It was a 23 hour labor delivery, pretty much traumatic! LOL My little one was stuck in my vagina, and the doctor had to use the vacuum twice! it was horrible because it cause his bilirrubin go to a 95 percent! And they had to shut down the anestesia, so i felt the contractions in their highest levels! Worth it! because now i see a 4 year old that is the funniest, clown, sweet, and energetic boy. I will never forget the first time i look at him... how much love you feel in your heart! He also has a younger sibling... 3 years old Matthew Robert!

Samuel can now spell his name and is a very compassionate child and of course loves everything to do with cars :) He tolerates his baby brother on certain days..... I can't believe how quickly time has gone and how beautifully he has grown.

My name is Hope Hodges. I am a 27, almost 28 year old wife, mother, friend, and student. I have been happily married to my best friend, Norman, for almost six years and we have two beautiful children. Savanna is four years old and is a wonderful big sister to her little brother Cameron, who is a little over one. I am an adult orphan because four years ago both of my parents passed away due to lung cancer. It was a major tragedy in my life, but I understand that tragedies make us stronger and I am working toward becoming a stronger and better me.
I am a full-time student at the University of Phoenix. My goal at the University of Phoenix is to eventually earn a Masters Degree in Psychology so that I can become a school guidance counselor. I have wanted to help others for as long as I can remember and working with students who are not only dealing with difficulties in life, but also helping them to discover who they are and what they want to do with their lives is important to me. I went to a high school that lacked a guidance counselor to assist with this task and I want to make sure I am the best at my job. It is okay to not know what you want to do for the rest of your life as you leave high school, but it is important to set goals to help you discover where you want to go in life and I did not have that at the age of 18. I had to work to discover my dreams without the assistance of someone else and I want to ease others into adulthood if possible.

My name is DeAnn Hines. My son, CJ has just recently started peeing on the potty although he still wears a pull-up to bed. He refuses to poop on the potty and I am told that will come in time. We signed him up for T-ball this spring and he will start pre school in September; we would have started him last year but we had the potty-training issue. He is very outgoing and loves to be silly. He makes friends very easily. We cherish family time and love to have family 'slumber parties' on the weekends. We attend church regularly and want CJ to have a good faith in Jesus Christ. We have play dates and sometimes invite his cousins to sleep over. We have a new puppy, as we had to send our first dog to heaven because he was ill, it seems challenging to get CJ to understand he can't pull the puppy around, etc. But they love each other. We love getting together with other families, doing special outings to fun places and just being together.

Hi my name is Krystle. I have a daughter, Leia, born on January 24, 2008. Right now she is right on track. She is definitely smaller than other kids her age. She's petite. She is also shy and timid. Once she likes someone, she will go crazy and show her true colors. With me, I have the same baby all the time: talkative, independent, kind, generous and loving. Once she meet strangers, she won't look them in the face or talk with them. They will ask her what her name is and her older sister will answer for her. Just yesterday, on a road trip across Texas, I noticed my oldest (6yo) had been talking the entire time. I looked at Leia and said, "Why aren't you talking?" And she said, "Because sister is doing ALL the talking." So I try very hard to give her her time to shine.

Hi, I have 3 children, 10, 3 and 2 - my jan 2008 being the middle child - we spent the summer toilet training and a week before pre-school he got the idea of itl. He settled in very well at pre-school, just loves going in the morning with his little bag on his back - he is a good natured little guy and loves the company of his brother and sister. In all a happy camper - although has taken to getting out of his bed at night lately and hopping in with us!

Hi, I'm Alana my one and only is Nicholas. He's a sponge, we wants to do everything, help me in the kitchen, do laundry, dance int the car, sing when i sing, use my stepper to "exercise", and i find his little step stool every where. We can't wait to go to school, so I might enroll him in Kuman, Nick Jr. is off limits, he has picked up some habits I don't like (mainly off Kai Lan where he pulls a Ren Tu and folds his hands over his chest and tells me he's mad and storms out of the room, I am so not having that). He knows his letters, colors and numbers, he has been practicing writing and loves to read, even when he poops.

I have twin sons, born Jan 8, 2008 so they are heading to 3 1/2 right now. They are Giovanni & Jacob.

I wrok outside the home and the boys are in daycare/school. They are currently very opinionated and potty training, it's been "challenging" to say the least. However, they are very verbal, very interesting and extremely inquisitive now.

thanks for inviting me to your group, I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi there. .My little man is Brodie, he was born January 27, 2008. He's just about the easiest kid I have ever known. Seriously, I think my dog is higher maintenance. He loves his trucks and cars.. Also rides his bike like a champ. We recently took off his training wheels and at 3, he's ripping up the trails w/ mommy and daddy like a pro. He's even hitting the dirt jumps and loving it. Skiing started for him a little bit this past season, but next year he's going into ski school.. I see an Xgamer in the future.. He's more brawn than brain right now.. and has no fear. Wish I had the same outlook!
