Lower back pains in early pregnancy

I just found out recently that I'm pregnant with my 2nd child. I haven't went to my first prenatal apppointment yet but based on my last period, I'm almost 5 weeks. I'm having lots of lower back pains! its not to the point where I can't take it, but I never had back pains like this before even with my first pregnancy. So I was just wondering what you guys think? I heard its normal but I just wanted to get some opinions from other good mommies :) thanks!

When I was a little farther along I had problems with my sciatic nerve, and my OB/GYN said there was nothing I could do about it, it was just normal b/c of the pregnancy and the way the baby puts pressure on your hips and back. I went to my chiropractor a few days later for an unrelated problem and he adjusted my pelvis and I never had a problem again. He adjusted my hips and pelvis a few times after that, but I never really had problems again.

I also ended up with a very pronounced lumbar curve following my pregnancy, and if I don't engage my core, in other words use your abdominal muscles to help support your stomach, it still puts pressure on my lower back and can cause aches. I think when we're pregnant we tend to let our tummies stick out so our hips bear a lot of the weight of the baby, which takes less effort than pulling in your tummy so the spine stays in a more neutral position.
